    Rusty,

I don't remember the name of the German oil, but it doesn't matter.

I'd recommend that you use mobil1 in your engine and Amsoil fluids in your trans drive gear boxes.

You can spend more, but those will be outstanding for you.

If you want you can run Redline or Royal Purple, those might be better but I don't think they're worth the cost. I can say that after running them and testing the results.

    Hope that help.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

    Hey Alan,
I have a question. As silly as this may be, I came across an old post you were involved in regarding Amsoil dated from 2002. In that post you spoke of a German-made oil that's supposedly the best synthetic oil, which you said was outrageously expensive. I know I more than likely would never buy it, but when I saw that I was curious to know more about it. I'm not rich, but am extremely anal about taking good care of my car and only want to put the best possible fluid in it, both for enhanced performance and protection, in addition to fuel economy, but the first two were are the most important to me, personally. My car's got 27,000 miles on it and I intend on keeping it for quite a while being that I'm only 21 and it's my first nearly new car.
If you have any advice on the best ATF fluid I would appreciate it, too - I'm not an expert but enjoy picking up new things here and there. Thanks for your time.
    -Rusty
