Sorry for the late reply. I wasn't aware that you replied to my message. I'm not sure if you made a decision on the cover or not but as for price, I think I paid 1200 painted for mine. You could probably get it cheaper, I got mine financed through my dealer so you know I paid more than I probably should of.

Oh, right, I forgot to put that. It's the leer 550 series. It's a great cover, I just don't know about the whole rubbing thing. I haven't really tried to clean the area, so I don't really know if it's rubbing the clear off. It's just that I only think about it when I open it, and that's at work. I can't clean it there.

what type of tonneau cover do you have? brand, model,etc?
