Im going to check with another dealer today. I am hoping the first one is wrong about the cat and it is a O2 sensor

Hope to hear from you soon

Hi I wast told you are the wiz on Tundras. I have pasted my generel link. I hope you can help me.
I know you all know this. Hello all. I need your help. First of all I receintly bought a 2005 Tundra with the 4.7. 89000miles (FROM A DEALER) The engine light came on IMMEDIATLY and I visited Autozone for the diagonstic check. Code comes back PO420 Catalyst system efficency below threshold (bank 1) Autozone said, oxygen sensor before catalatic converter, Drivers side? $170 but out of stock for 10days. Nice helpful guy. I check at the dealer I got the truck from and they say it might be the converter, $1400 plus install? Of course the warrantee is zero. Are they just trying to screw me for more cash? or is it the O2 sensor before the cat? I can do $170 not $1400. Hey no offence if you work for a dealer. I have had good experiences before. Just bought the truck and no after sales service. (5days ago) I think I have a reason to be pissed. Thanks guys/Gals
