Years ago while browsing through ebay I found an auction for a Bassani exhaust. This was one of their systems that replacess the factory Y-pipe and has a dual inlet/outlet muffler. Another bonus, the seller had both split-side and split-rear tailpipe assemblies. The price was too good to pass up

Soak everything with penetrant, even the exhaust hangers. I unbolted the exhaust from the Y-pipe,unbolted the cats from the manifolds, then slid the cats/Y pipe assembly back.
I unbolted the motor mounts to lift up the engine. This makes access to all manifold nuts easy and makes it easier to remove the old manifolds and install the headers.
Unbolt the dipstick tube bolt, shifter cable bracket, and wiring harness heat shield. All are located on the driver side.

I bought JBA headers several years ago through a TS group buy,was just too lazy to install them
One of the manifolds started to leak this year along with a MIL for O2 sensors,it's time to put the headers on.
I'm not too impressed with the quality of the headers. The welding is sloppy. I ran a tap to clean the O2 sensor bungs due...
