I have a 07 Crewmax and I am looking into getting the same trailer as you are pulling. Have you ever checked your weights when you are hooked up and loaded. The 2009 specs say it has a dry pin weight of 1885 where as the 2008 specs say 1565 and the dealer says there is no difference between the years. He says that it was more than likely a mistake in the info for 2008. So all that being said how do you like the unit and have you had any problems ?

Yes. It tows well. Make sure truck tires are fully inflated and airbags at 35 psi. That ensures that you get minimal "chugging". Also, resist going over 70mph. It can behave strangely over 70 but otherwise is smooth. I get about 9 MPH towing. Ouch. Post on that string will you? I think people will be interested. I get private notes on it but people dont post on it. Lets resurrect it. It has good starter info on it...including weights and airbag info...

I read your posts on your fifth wheel and wondered if it still tows well? I am looking at purchasing a Cougar 312RLS that is very similar in weight to your Jayco. I am going to try hauling it Friday after they install airbags. The paperwork says it is 8700 lbs with a tongue weight of 1495. I am going straight to a scale with it to verify the actual weight. Just curious if you are still happy with the setup. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
