I heard of that type of scheduling. I think NYFD does it but I am not sure who does it here in the west coast. So on average, how many hours are you on duty per week. We are at 49 hrs / week.

We are in the middle of contract negotiations. There is a big union meeting tonight that will discuss our contract and benefits. We have not had a pay increase nor COLA bump in three years.

Oh my Garsh... You a "B" shifter?! I will have a month off in August. I finally have enough seniority to get prime picks during the Summer.

We ended with 13 calls for the shift. I am old guy... and after over 21 years, lack of sleep can make you goofy. By hey, I have a great job and won't trade that for anything else!

Thanks Pal. I have been on leave and doing stuff firefighter do off duty. I SCUBA / spearfished in south Texas and upon my return to WA, I went on a motorcycle ride to the Hell's Canyon MC rally.

I leave for Ft Lewis tomoroow to see and old military buddy and to shift Thursday.
