thanks, I preped it by using a scotch brite pad, then a fine wet sand paper. Cleaned it all off with a 3M cleaner. The taping was a bitch took me a good 1hr and a half. I used Dupli color trim paint (5 coats, 15 min between each) after that I let it sit for 2hrs. Then used a 2 coats of a clear sprayable laquer. I think it turned out pretty good for a novice painter. Any other ? give me a shout.

Hey, nice engine cover paint job, how did you do that? What kind of paint, etc. Mine is kind of chipping already in one spot (not sure why) and was looking for some way to make it look new again. Mark
