    Hey Boosted,
I doubt the snake gets down to 1/2% RH, but should be significantly dryer than ambient air. I've only been using the snake for a year (my truck is only 1.5 year old), and since I don't have to add air that often it seems to be working fine. Not sure how long it will last, but I bought 2 for when the first one dies. I also inflate my track tires w/ it when the weather is hot and humid.

Not sure how much pressure loss there is. I use the snake right before the air chuck so don't have a gauge to measure. I only have an inflator (no tank) so don't really measure pressure anyway.

Yeah, I go to SP 3-4 times a year for driving schools (I instruct also) and occasional races. It's only an hour away from home. I drove the new pavement back in April and love it, though still not as much as VIR, though, which is a fantastic track. I'm partially taking this year off (no racing, only a few schools) to do some home projects.

    Later,
    Jerome

    hey there

I was not aware that a "snake" was available with dessicant in it to achieve such a low moisture level ( 1/2 % relative humidity ).
    Thanks for the info !

    My questions are:

    1. do you lose air pressure when using the "snake " ?

    2. How long does the dessicant/filter last ? or how often do you have to replace it ?

On a different subject, do you go to Summit Point often ? I drive a 93 Mitsu Eclipse with large turbo and I go to Summit Point several times a year. Mostly I go to VIR which is much closer to Raleigh NC where I live,

    Cheers
