The problem is, everyone says they want to have a meet, but no one wants to organize it. And when someone does step up to the plate and take charge, most of the time everyone bows out at the last minute saying "I have to work" or "I have to study" or "Grandma's coming to visit that day" etc. and you are lucky to get 2 or 3 people show up.

Hah ya thats not a suprise. Maybe our "tundra culture" doesn't make for good enough meets. I went to an Audi meet and cruise with my friend in AZ, it was very well organized and planned out. Tons of cars and a planned route to drive through the "fun" roads. I think the driving of the Audi's was a big factor, maybe if a tundra meet involved some moderate off-roading more people would be interested.
BTW. why is fredricksburg so historic? I've got 3 presidents from my city! haha

Sometimes I hang out with the guys over on CustomTacos.com. Last year they had a meet at this guy's farm up in Pennsylvania and like 35 trucks showed up. A couple from Florida even drove up in the wife's Scion.

Trouble is, there is no off-roading places around where I live, and some people aren't into off-roading and don't like to get our trucks dirty.

We had one president and 4 Civil War battles, and we were the childhood home of George Washington. This is where the legendary "Cherry Tree" incident took place. We have a saying: George Washington may have slept in a lot of places, but he lived in Fredericksburg.
The only good off-roading place that I know of is an hour north from me, and I'm in Reading, PA. It's a great park for all levels of trucks, but I think it would be hard to get guys up here.
But in case anybody is around, the PA TTORA group is having a stocker friendly run on January 17th at Rausch Creek (which is the place I was talking about).
I'll be there as well as many other guys running fairly easy trails.....no harder than anybody wants to run. And I'll be the only Tundra

Hmmm.... That might be do-able.
My parents live down near Chambersburg, so I could crash there Friday night after work, and easily make a day trip out of this one. And the extent of my 4-wheeling is pretty much sticking to the Bunny Trail, this might actually resemble something like fun.
Ok, so the idea is this will be a full group run, but there is a chance that the big boys (the more purpose built trucks) will go off and run the hard trails and we can still run around on the easier stuff.
The difficulty of trials go in this order from easiest to hardest:
Green
Blue
Blue/Black
Black
Red
A few important things to remember is you want to come along,
-No alcohol while we are on the trials! People do it, and if you do our entire group can get sanctioned from the park. So wait until the end of the day to get loaded
-Be prepared! Bring some basic tools and tow straps etc. A shovel wouldn't hurt either in case it is really muddy that day and somebody gets stuck. Also, it sounds silly, but bring a fire extinguisher. In the odd chance your truck catches on fire in the middle of the woods you'll want to be able to put it out.
-Listen to your spotter!!!! There may be tougher sections of the trials that you'll want a spotter for and if so it's vital that you listen to his instructions. With any luck one of the more experienced guys will lead our group and they are really good at helping you over harder stuff and avoiding trails that may be to hard. If you get spotted through a section, listen to your spotter because he is your trucks lifeline! If you don't listen on the trail you won't be invited back....just a heads up! It really is a big deal because they are trying their best to get your truck through the trail with no damage and if you don't listen it's just irritating and you're risking screwing something up.
-If you have a CB radio it'll really, really help! I suggest you pick up a cheap one as it'll do just fine and it really helps communicate between trucks while on the trail.
The guys I wheel with are all really stand up guys and will always help you out if you need it. At the end of the day there is always a campfire and plenty of beer!
Everybody is welcome....even non-Toyota guys (if the listen )
Here is the link to the park we go to. There is much more information there so spend some time there exploring:

And if you need a place to sleep camping is free (but cold!)
There is a hotel only a few minutes away and they give awesome rates if you tell them you are wheeling up a Rausch. They give them a lot of business so rooms are super cheap compared to regular rates....even more so than AAA discounts.

I just realized that Monday, January 19th is Martin Luther King Day which is a Federal Holiday for me. And the next day, January 20th is Inauguration Day which has also been declared a Federal Holiday for those in the DC area. I might get a 4-day weekend. WOO HOO!
Just another thought, regarding your truck anyway. You might want to take your nerf bars off since they might get in the way on the trails. They are basically like a 1 time use rock slider so you might be better off without them.
Also you could take your cab off if you wanted to since it might get scratched a little bit. Probably not.....but it may not hurt to take off if you could swing it.
Right now there is a group of 9 going including you and ThirdHorseman. This may change a little...but it should be a good group! And also as of now everybody will be running the easy trails so it should be a great day even if your truck is bone stock!
