Tom,
Thanks for the welcome !!....I had the BEST experience I have ever had with the dealer .... The colors that I thought I wanted just did not look anything like the color I ended up with ... Some looked cheap, and others just looked like they would get too dirty ...I'm not big on spit and shine !!... The dealer had a few in stock with the 5.7, and he wanted to move what he had , so what he did was he gave me more than my trade in vehicle was worth , so I not only got more than I thought for my trade in vehicle , but I got the additional tax savings also ...There was also a guy who does pin striping at the dealer , and they thru that in as a gift , and let me pick out the design....I went with 2 fine line stripes close together down both sides of the truck ...It really added some class to the truck ....I got the Red Salsa, and it looks RICH and very candy apple looking in the sunlight ....Very nice truck .....I'm a happy camper , even though the dealers are not discounting heavily ... My salesman also knew the truck inside and out and was VERY complete with his explanation ...Great service , great truck !!....Jim

I am a new owner as well....absolutely love this truck! I bought from Rosner Toyota here in Fredericksburg. Everything went very smooth with the transaction. The truck goes back in on Friday for remote start and rear dvd entertainment.

Anyone deal with Rosner before?

Hey let us know how the remote start works. On other Toyota's you can remote start it, but to drive away you have to shut the engine down and re-start with the key, kind of a pain I would think.

Deal there? I used to work there (their Stafford dealership, that is). I sold cars there for about six months when I was between real jobs three years ago. It was, to say the least, an interesting experience.

Bought my AC from them while I was there.

From what I was told....you push the button to start it, has a max run time of about 12-15 minutes before it automaticaly shuts off...anyways if they configure the OEM key fob you must manualy open the door using the key and not the unlock button on the fob. Once inside, you place the key in the ignition and off you go. I will talk to the service techs on Friday to make sure what I was told is true. They can give me a completely brand new key fob and I may entertain that. I'll let you know.

Since I am done with the sales folks....how is the service department up at Stafford and have you heard anything about Fredericksburg?

I bought mine through the Stafford store, but I get all my service done in Fredericksburg (where I live). I'm OK with the service I get in F-burg, so I imagine the service in Stafford is just as good.

I happened to get a brand new sales guy at the Fredericksburg location...he wasn't completely brainwashed as of yet so that was a plus. His name was James Greene...he did a real good job. He was nice, honest, called me when the truck was delivered and still sitting on the hauler. I think he was more excited about the truck then I was.

Rosners in Fburg did my lower ball joint recall, and realigned my front after the slight lift. They did not ask about the lift, or the air compressor or the battery box that's pulling air cleaner/ram air duty. No mention of warranties or anything, just did what I asked. Good experience.

I do not know if it counts but welcome from another new member. I got my 07 DC 5.7 about three weeks ago. I cannot believe the ride. So smooth. Of course I traded my 98 Taco with 218k on it.
Enjoy and let me know if you have any advice on the truck.
