I am very enthusiastic about the possibility of organizing a Tundra/Tacoma club/get-together/event in the twin cities area of minnesota. I have read that there are some tundra owners as excited about their trucks as I am in this state. I would like to see some responses as to if people would be interested in a get together, and just talk Tundra/ Tacoma or whatever for that matter. I was hoping an initial gathering and possibly something bigger in the future. In order to be a future, I need responses!!! Let me know what you MN/WI guys think, and I will be on the ball to make something happen. I would like to see this work and bring some Tundra comroderie to the cities!!
I was looking to organize a Toyota club in the minnesota/ twincities area. The full details are in the "club" general chat forum. Any and all feeback on this idea would be seriously appreciated. Minnesota guys, let me know what you think.
That'll be great. I am however a very busy man with very little time at home due to my 12hr work schedule. Whenever I'm off it's fishing or now, bowhunting. There are lots of tundra owners here in the twincities but few are enthusiast. Most of the tundra owners here in the twincities are hmong and they're usually are quite and keep to themselves. But there bound to be a few who'll be interested. Count me in, I'll squeeze it in my busy life.
I figured you read the other one in the "let it snow" thread but here goes anyway. If you could find time to hook up and swap ideas, that would be great. like you say, most owners are Hmong and dont really get into the performance of the tundra like me. I would just like to find people in the cities interested in hooking up, swaping ideas, just hanging out and talking tundras. Who knows, maybe it could be big enough to fill a lot near porkies!! PM me if you feel like talking or figuring something out! This goes for any one!!
I just moved to the area (Lakeville) in July and haven't had much of a chance to do anything but move into my house and start my new job. I moved here from SoCal (the original TS land) and would love to get together whenever schedules permit. Like most, especially in the winter when daylight seems to be at an extreme minimum, I seem to always be busy, but on some free weekend it would be great to meet other TS'ers and maybe go for an offroad romp somewhere...something I haven't done here at all yet.
Hope to meet some of you soon,
Andy

I started the Let it Snow thread and never got out the house. Andy, my wife and I moved back to Minnesota five years ago when I retired after 35 years with Litton Data Systems. We were born in NW Minnesota and moved to the SFV in 1962. Most everyone wonders why we moved back here but I think we both can say we'd never move back to the LA area. When I first started working in LA my co-workers called me a reindeer milker for a long time. I spend most of my time working on our house, maintaining our vehicles. 2000 Tundra 4X4, 1993 Maxima SE, 1969 Torino GT fastback and helping our son with his house in Detroit Lakes. I'd be interested in some activities on an informal basis. Anyway welcome to popsicle country.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!
Traded off my 97 T100 and picked up the 03 SR5 TRD last week. Trail drove the T once in a while and have a number of buddies with Cruisers and $ runners. Notsure I want to off road this one yet, but wouldn't mind chatting about it...
FWIW for twincities area, MN. Propulshun Auto Sports will be getting an awd dyno in their shop(Mustang, I think). This will be the only one I know of in the twincities. They do mostly compact sport stuff but it's a place to have your car/truck dyno.

Donk141,
Where do you usually hang out at. Some nights I see alot of younger doods in their acura's, honda's, subura's, and other smaller or compacts hanging out at various parking lots. I've never driven in to check out what all the commotion is about. Maybe their just hanging out, I don't know. For some reason with all these tundra's around here in St. Paul I don't see a green stepside. One day we'll cross paths, honk though if you see me.
For anyone else here in the metro, have any of you dyno'ed your truck yet? What did you get for numbers in MN?
And for any one out there, what is the elevation for the twincities, MN? What would that calculate to from the average dyno numbers that others had.

In the summer, I always hang out in the wendys parking lot around university and fairview on Fridays and Saturdays at night. This should be starting up again soon like mid-end of April. If I remember right, I dont live too far from you. You should definately come up sometime. Let me know I will be sure to meet you up there. I recently bought a yellow 95 mustang 5.0 which I will spend a lot of time hopping up and cruising Porkeys. Seriously, I bought the mustang because I have loved them ever since I had one as a first car, and primarily, to keep my damn hands off my warrenteed Tundra! I would love to meet up with ya and swap Tundra secrets so let me know.
Sorry, I just saw you asked what mods I have done. I have a custom dual exhaust just off the resonator. Thats kinda it for now, but I want to do more. I want to find a group of local guys to hook up with and share ideas and stuff, just hang out. This goes for ALL people in the area that are interested. I will post a definate date that Porkeys will be hoppin' and I hope to see a buncha Tundras down there that night too!
