This is a discussion thread titled "Welcome To The Midwest Forum!", within the Midwest forum, part of the News and Events category.
To introduce myself with a little history. I was born in NW Minnesota and left in 1962 for Los Angeles. Spent/lived/worked 36 years in the San Fernando Valley and we moved back to Minnesota when I retired in 1998. Live in Plymouth one of the NW suburbs of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul). Have easily adapted back to the climate and love being back in a four season region.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????

John, thanks for your help getting Forum going. I spent some time off and on in Lubbock during the seventies when we had a facility there. Loved the Santa Fe station bar and grill by the Holiday Inn (probably long gone by now). Got thrown out of the hotel once cause of that place.

Brian, how do you like Columbus? I've only been there during my flight training! It seems like nice small town to live in!
I'm happy here ... good place to raise a family. Retail sucks! ... unless you can live off Wal-Mart I'm an internet shopper anyway, and we're close enough to Omaha/Lincoln that it's not too bad.
Most people's idea of Nebraska is what they can see from I-80 (Which isn't much!). My job takes me to all the small nooks an crannies of Nebraska and Kansas. I think many would be astounded by the diversity and beauty of what Nebraska's geography is really like ... I know I was!
I enjoy the outdoors and spend a lot of time hunting and fishing. I married into deer hunting ground ... as a matter of fact I tell my wife often that that's the ONLY reason I married her (She thinks I'm kidding ). The nature of my job has allowed me to develop relationships with people all over the state that allows me access to great hunting and fishing spots.
I concur with our state motto, Nebraska ... The Good Life!
Welcome aboard and hang in there it'll get added as soon as the mod reads your post.
