If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????

HOLY CRAP! You gotta be kidding me!
In this big wide web, what are the chances of this?!? Some kinda strange karma. Kathy and I were just talking about you guys the other day, and how long it's been.
We usually get up that way at least once a year. We need to hook up. PM or e-mail me your info if it's changed.
Since you bought a Toyota ... I take back all those disparaging comments about your character and sanity I may have made in the past!
BTW ... I don't "baby" my truck, I just keep her well groomed and well fed. Okay ... so maybe a secretive, loving caress now and then ... and a strange erotic tingle when I punch the gas ... do I need help?

I didn't buy a Toyota, Cheryl (my wife) did. I figured she had languished in misery in her '89 Ford Taurus (complete with manual windows and manual locks) long enough. She did the research and decided she wanted a Sequoia. I fought and argued for a month saying it was too expensive and we didnt' need it, knowing full well I'd lose the argument but wanting to see how long I could delay it.
Finally she played her trump card and one day she said she wanted to have a sit down and a long talk about the whole issue. ...WHAT!!!...t-t-t-talk!?!?! Ok...you win. I got home from work and threw in my hand, thus avoiding the "talk" and started the long, slow climb out of my dog house.
To make a long story a lot longer, her Taurus was in such rough shape we had to GIVE it away. No charity would touch it. I finally gave it to my neice. It had 140k miles on it.
Funny thing is, I'm the one who washes it, waxes it, changes the oil, wipes up my drool, hollars when the kids leave their candy wrappers in there (I blew a gasket when I found MC'DONALD'S FRENCH FRY on the floor). She promised she would change her ways and like a fool I believed her. I guess that what marriage is all about though, being fooled. I do have to admit though, she's not near as bad as she was with the rust bucket.
Speaking of being fooled, in our negotiations, she said I could drive it one week a month. The last time I had it for a week was in January.
The big plan was to wait until the Sequoia was paid off before I got a new vehicle, but yesterday I looked at odometer of my minivan ('96 Dodge Grand Caravan) and saw I was past 150k miles. I've got 4 years of payments left on Cheryl's SQ but I don't know if the van will last that long. Even if it does, I'm completely converted to Toyotas and want one for myself. That SQ is a modern marvel, particularly on snow.
My big debate is whether to go with a Tundra, 4-Runner, or another Sequoia. I think I'd prefer a Sequoia, but his & her Sequoia's are pretty tacky (though not as tacky as his & her Taurus'es). Cheryl offered to help out by buying a red Sequoia for herself and giving me her gray one...she's all heart, that woman.
That said, there are a few things I like better about my minivan over the SQ, like:
more cargo room
more shoulder room
more leg room
separate temp controls for driver/passenger
ability to lock the vehicle before shutting all the doors
a lowest fan speed that is actually low
no center console (I like putting my own stuff there, usually a camera bag or radio bag)
I think I'll go do some road testing at my local Toyota dealer this weekend. I'm also going to wax the SQ this weekend. I'll post pix when I'm done. Sorry for boring everyone to tears. Brian, I'll be in touch.
