Default New Toy in the Family

My wife and I bought a 2003 Camry SE this weekend. We kept walking away from it because it had a Nav system and didn't want to pay the extra $. But then it was the only one that had the color and other equipment we had both agreed we wanted. The dealer worked with us and upped the ante on our 1993 Maxima SE so there it was. He said it was a Toyota Corporate vehicle and had CA plates, even the Nav maps and radio presets were LA stations I remembered. I sent Toyota an e-mail requesting verification and build info Saturday. Still reading the Nav manual but I can see that this thing could be addicting if no one rips it off first. The rest of the car is V6, auto, cloth buckets, security, moonroof and on and on, color is Luner Mist. Clay barred and waxed it yesterday and even the mosquitos slide off.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to syphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????

Congrats on the new purchase, post some pictures so we can see the mosquito's slide off!

I love my Camry and haven't thought twice about getting rid of my Tundra, although you still have yours!

I did see my old baby running around town the other day, it still looks nice but not as nice as when I had it and before I stripped it all down and parted it out prior to trade!

Thanks Peid.
I'll have to figure out how to download pictures to the forum. The high resolution settings on the camera have always made for big files so I haven't tried. I've gotten the resolution down now so I'll have to try it again. Got the Camry, Tundra and my 69 Torino GT fastback I can post in there.

Those are such sweet looking cars! Then again, it is a toyota so that goes with out saying! Congrats on the new ride! I had a 97 Camry and loved it!

When our Sequoia had to go in for repair (VSC light stayed on...took two trips to fix), they offered me a Camry to drive in the mean time. Initially I balked ant such a small car, with me being 6' 5", and having to put 3 kids in the back, one in a car seat. THey convinced me it'd work, so I' tried it.

I'll be darned if it didn't fit us just fine!! I was pretty impressed with the car. If we were to buy a car, I'd look at one of those, or an Avalon.

My wife wanted a Avalon as she thought it'd be as nice as the 85 Cressida we had. But when she saw the difference in price (K for the 03's) she was happy with the Camry. It's just about as large inside as the new Avalon's and larger then the last series Avalon.
