Default Midwest off roading!

Any one know of any places that can be used for off roading! I am in the "Oh my gosh" Nebraska area. please advise for this area and post for your own are so others around can know of them. I have driven around here looking for places and just have had no luck. I heard some farmers here will let you tear up their land for a few bucks but I am looking for trails that lead to a nice view or something like that. Or just a trail that challenges your truck a bit. Thanks in advance for the info.

Default Des Moines wheeling

I will be in the Des Moines area on Apr 22-24 for my daughters horse show. Is there any place near town that is worth taking truck to for some wheeling?

the kind of day when you want to open a window and stick your head in a building . (from the hitchhiker's guide, btw ...)

there are a few parks, but finding a view requires some driving...actually, even finding a park might require some driving. what sort of trails are you willing to hit for a view, or at least an offroad experience? fire roads, mud holes, rock crawling?

Doh, I took some time off from the forums. Next time you go to Des Moines let me know. I can talk to one of my friends in the area to see where he off roads at. He used to drive a early 80's Taco for off roading. Not sure if he still has it.

Edit: Bt "let me know" I mean email me. I am bad about checking the forums lately.
