This is a discussion thread titled "4 Wheeling places in Minnesota", within the Midwest forum, part of the News and Events category.
Does anybody know of any good places to go 4x4'ing? I know there is an off road park up by Hibbing, but I'm looking at going to a state forest. I've looked at the DNR website, but it looks to me that most of the off roading is allowed only by quads and motorcycles. I'm hoping I can go off roading in the Superior Nat'l forest on some of the fireroads, or in Chipewa Nat'l forest. Any advice would be nice. And if anybody has any sugestions we should get together as a group and give it a try.
I'll be monitoring this thread. I was thinking about posting the same question.
Will not real off-roading, our family has had some fun driving on the remote forest roads in the Superior National Forest. If you go the Superior Forest Visitors Map is a great map to have. Very detailed and has all the forest roads on there.
Nothing posted yet, huh? How about a Tundra owner with a big farm? It would be a great place for a MN (and surrounding states) Tundra-owners get-together. If we meet in the fall perhaps we can combine with a pheasant hunt
We might have to do that. My father in law has some land, but I don't think he would want us tearing it up; but he would let us hunt on it. If anybody else has any interest in doing this speak up and we'll try and set something up.
In USA don't permission to any body drive 4 wheelers in all roads. Separate tracks for 2 wheelers, 4 wheelers, heavy loaded trucks and by walk. System is good that type of rules very nice no accidents in that kind of roads. In this forum very interesting topics available to discuss it's good.
Ma & Pa Rocker's - just make sure you cal Pa ahead of time.
The Iron Range off-road Park in Gilbert, MN. You'll need an OHV sticker. Mostly rock
There's a new park that the MN4wda has worked to open in Appleton as well, but I don't have much info.
IIRC, all trails are closed unless marked open in state parks.
