This is a discussion thread titled "End of Year Lunch!", within the Northeast forum, part of the News and Events category.
Another year is about to pass. Time is fleeting, as they say.
Spoke with Tundraplumber yesterday. Trying to plan a end of year lunch get together.
We are looking at 12/28/02 for a date. May use Dedham or travel further north. We are flexible. Final place/time TBD.
Looking for jem2112,bkoneski47, nhparrot, jdc580, vanityplates, toda, flashcrunch, v8toilet, ragersXS, ronfad, tundross, for starters. Everyone is welcome, btw.
Drop a line, if interested. This will be my last chance for awhile to
get together. Heading back to central Mexico for assignment of
3-5 months before I get to return to USA.
I'm in as far as I can tell. Will be good to see everyone, maybe some new faces will show up. If anyone knows of any good paying jobs, please let me know. I have my Class B CDL and four years experience driving with it. I prefer something in the Fall River MA area.
If folks want to get the Holidays out of the way, 1/4/03 is an option if it improves scheduling. After that date, I am heading back to work across the border.

Nice to hear from you Paul. I hope you and the family had a nice Christmas Holiday.
Stay tuned and see if we have any interest. I know that Tundraplumber(Petros), jdc580, myself and you are interested so far.
PS: Can you believe the IS kits selling for <$500. The grill alone used to be $600-750!
The final date is set for 1/4/02 on Saturday. TBD, new place and time or use the standard at TGIF.
So far, looks like the gang of 4-5. Everybody is welcome. This will be my last weekend here in NE for ~ 3 months so I want to say
"hasta luego y nos vemos pronto" to "mis amigos" before I leave on assignment.
I plan to call Tundraplumber and Vanityplates this weekend to set it up.
helloo?????????? Are we going tomorrow? is everone giving up on NE Meets? Man, it's like a ghost town in this forum. We should change the forum name from New England to "No One's Talking". Man, disappointing doesn't even cover it.
I'd go but I have to work tomorrow and there is a really bad snow storm out there right now too, which won’t end until 3:00 pm tomorrow.
I only have two wheel drive but four wheel drive isn't going to make the commute any shorter or stop someone from sliding into your truck so either way it still isn’t worth it.

Hey v8Toilet,
Understood! We keep getting rain down here. You folks are above the snow line. As I told jdc580(john) on the phone, lets postpone til Spring. I am in the middle of a bathroom remodel and I need to finish it before I leave on Monday, so unfortunately, it is the right decision. So, for Tundraplumber and Vanityplates that always show up for meets, I will see you soon. (Petros, give me a call on Sunday, before I leave).
I also understand where John (jdc580) is coming from. We do have busy schedules, but, a post from the locals does not take much time. I guess it would be nice to see more activity/post from NE folks, even if we cannot meet. For now, I expect to return in March/April from my assignment over the border, but, I will be in touch as I am bringing my new laptop with me so I can stay connected.
