Default DRT Rotors - Lowell, MA

Anyone get any rotors from this shop in Lowell, MA? I searched on ebay and found these guys, just picked up some drilled/slotted rotors for 65 bucks which was a great deal. I still have the older calipers so I'm hoping these don't warp as quickly as the last pair did. I'm always a bit nervous with ebay stuff, especially being brakes, so I was curious if anyone else has used them? I read a few things on other car club sites that say they make great quality products and guys have been using them for years.

Wish I could offer you advise, but, not familiar with them. Assuming you are going with it, let us know what you think with the setup.

Hope all is well in NE!

Never heard of them. Machining rotors wouldn't be too hard. You really need to be concerned with the type of iron used. (not that I know what is the best for rotors).

Let us know what you find.

Gray iron, SAE grade G3000 is the standard and SAE G3500 is better yet.

Installed them yesterday and what a difference. I am not doing any hard braking, just light stuff until they are bedded a bit, but its so smooth. The rotors I had were really warped, I mean even braking at 40mph my steering wheel was shaking.

I also noticed my e-brake cable was drooping and guess what, the bell crank mechanism is sticking on the driver side. So I'll be repairing that this weekend thanks to the write-up on this site.

Final observations, I haven't dyno'd yet but I swear this gave me about a 15 hp increase and my fuel mileage went from 16 to 22mpg. Amazing.

Joey

i bought cross drilled rotors from DRT yesterday as well as pads for my 01 ac 4x4. i bought the same set up for my skyline powered 240sx and the brakes are great! extremely good product for the money! i went with this set-up for my tundra because its the second time ive warped the oem nonvented rotors. i think you will be happy with these even after hard braking. im putting mine on tomorrow. i also want to add that DRT will paint the hub portion of the rotor pretty much any color you want so they stay looing nice for a long time. oh yeh, and the pads are made by centrix.
