No kidding guys. Channel 5 just contacted me in response to an email I sent Susan Wornick. They want to interview me on Thursday 3/26 about Tundra rust but I just TRADED mine on a newer one a couple of weeks ago. I may need someones rusty tundra for the starring role as all I have are photos now.
If you can help out please contact me immediately! This is not a joke.
Bob
Hi Bob,
We've been saving complaints like yours about rusted-out Tundras, and are now ready to move this story up the priority list. I'd like to schedule an interview for this Thursday afternoon. Susan Wornick would be the reporter.

hi, do a thread in gen2, there loaded with rust right out the dealership.
even the 1 they used for TRUCK"S on the TV show, when they had if up on the lift, i noticed rust. a brandie new gen2 tundra with rust.
go into your dealership next visit, and take a look under the tundra's they have on there lot. you will be shocked to see, they already have rust.
what i think is sad, is they don't even try to hide it, by doing a heavy under-coating, and just say it was thrown in for FREE!
beside's that most people with heavy rust live up north, where they use SALT to melt the ice.
there is a thread/post on this.
that there is a product that are telling people to use, a few times a year so it will clean off the salt, etc, that will cause rust.
you should also include the gen2 tundra's those owner's have some problem's that i'm sure they would love to let the new's in on. it might help them out.
there is also a thread it says something like what don't you like about your tundra.
it has a very long list. it is very interesting read for sure.

I have been thinking about this for a bit.
Do the Sequoia's have the same rust issues?
I thought they were based on a tundra frame?
Also are the Sequoias built in the US or Japan?
Just something to throw out there.
I would have thought a modern Toyota vehicle would never ever have any issues with rust! Unless in a accident.
Just had my interview with Channel 5 today. It seemed to go pretty well. They were happy. They took some shots of my newer Tundra (sans rust, which I plan to rustproof within an inch of its life and trade if I see the same thing again in a few years) and asked me a variety of questions. I don't know if I was "outraged" enough for them, but didn't want to appear like an idiot either!
I have been interviewed to. My truck was on channel 5 report. Channel 5 did a nice job to shed light on this problem Toyota has stonewalled its customers for too long.
