New England Summer Meet

Still checking for interest guys. Sundays look like the best option for most people.
Anyone want to throw ideas out there for place? Anyone want to throw ideas
for type of event?

I can suggest, but, want to see others think. Jump in with ideas.

I already mentioned the idea of this to my daughter and she wants to come with Dad to look at trucks

I don't mind throwing the grill in the bed and doing some barbecue!! Maybe southern NH, see if we can find a parking lot to use. Is there any performance shops that would let us use some space, would be good advertising for them.

Good idea. I think we could find an acceptable park though that will let us BBQ.

Let's see if we can get some others to jump in here. It is a Family Day affair, so wives and children are welcome if they want to come.

Me Too. Going to post a interest thread on IBTO and see if we can get some more members involved. Looking for ideas, as it should be what most people feel is a good plan for an event.

Jump in while still early so we can start planning.

Hey guys/gals,

As some of you know, I am on assignment in Mexico which limits my time when I can get home. I have made my schedule for summer visit, so, here is the current plan proposed to get us together for a summer meet:

Date: August 9
Time: 12:30 or so for a start
Place: Still open. We can go with TGIF Dedham or a park. Still looking for suggestions from folks on preference. We should try to lock this in soon.

What do you all think? Need input here. Thanks.

So far, we do have 2 members from IBTO gang committed to join.

That works for me. I think an outdoor park would work better, somewhere we can take a look at the trucks chat about them. An indoor backup is a good idea though. Not much rain in August.

I'll be there. Unless we expect it to be a little roudy I'll be bringing my daughter. She'll enjoy it and I don't get to spend much time with her. Anything I can do to help just let me know. If we end up in a barbecue type situation I don't mind doing some grillin.

Help:

I am open to a park, but, no one has made any suggestions yet. Ideas on something that can be easy to get to *main highway access* and somewhere central, to keep driving distance down for more members to attend?? I know places like Colt State, Lincoln Woods, Purgatory Chasm. I did not list them because I did not want to drag people too far from upstate MA or NH.

Update so far:

I will post a list soon to make it easier to track for all. So far, interest looking very good on the "yes" to attend. We are in the 12-13 trucks range already!!

I am going to search to see what is available in central MA, or even going a little more north. Unless someone already has a place in that area they know of, let me see what I can find.

The idea is to keep driving within reasonable distances for most, so most can attend.
