As some of you know, I am on assignment in Mexico which limits my time when I can get home. I have made my schedule for summer visit, so, here is the current plan proposed to get us together for a summer meet:
Date: August 9 Time: 12:30 or so for a start Place: Still open. We can go with TGIF Dedham or a park. Still looking for suggestions from folks on preference. We should try to lock this in soon.
Hey John! I am out for this meet...I'll be at the cape that weekend! If my plans change I'll try to make it depending on where the final location is.
Joey

Hi Joey, not a problem. Eventually I will be home for good and have more flexibility for dates
with the gang.
Hey NE,
Looking at park options right now. Purgatory Chasm, Central Ma but further south. Ashland Park, Central MA, but further north if it helps for travel. Still checking options right now before we need to decide. If you know a better place, jump in with your suggestion. Thanks.

I will need some help though for the BBQ side as I will not be home until 7/31 and want to be sure details are set well for everyone. Remember, we have members from TT and IBTO sites as well planning to attend, so we should be able to get some help on this.
Still checking parks, but, leaning towards Ashland right now.

Oh great...of course I might not be able to make this meet and a possible spot is 10 mins away from me! LOL! If it is this local, I'll try to swing by on my way back from the cape that weekend. The hopkinton state park is also pretty sweet (although I am partial), there is tons of parking and bbq areas and some actually have grills there...just bring charcoal. Its also pretty easy to get to, basically 10 mins from 495.

Hey Joey,
I have not been to either place. Which do you think fits better for a meet and is also easy to access? Being local, would like your opinion on this. Thanks, amigo!

Great suggestion from what I read on the site. Going to try to lock down a place and ask if
members like the choice. Trying to keep this accessible, so this may work for most.

10 minutes off 495 would be great. Also a park that has some built in barbecue pits would save a lot of hassle. We just bring a couple coolers and the charcoal.
I know NE is alive and well, this thread has almost 1100 hits. So, hope to see some
more folks jump in. This will probably be the only meet for 2009, at least from my end, so,
here we go.
Brief Desc: 1 reservable group picnic site (see Split Rock below), 12 tree shaded, first come first served, picnic areas (300 picnic tables and 165 charcoal cooking grills), 10 miles of marked trails, open field space
I arrive in Boston 7/31. I will take a buzz ride to the park that weekend to scope out best grill locations and parking for members. This will help avoid surprises, and I can post some pics before to help with our planned location in park, etc.
Details are set. Just need the members to go with it. Chime in, if you are definite or maybe.
PS: This event is also posted on TT and IBTO sites to share with NE Tundra owners. Actually, anyone, or any type ride is welcome!

I'm in. Its gonna be a busy weekend, I'll be in Northern Vermont when I wake up that morning. I offer to donate a bulk box of burgers, dogs and the fixings.
Looking forward to this... My brother in law is in, too.
C'mon folks... let's get some more attending this thing. Maybe I'll bring a small display of products we are working on.

Please bring displays or samples along. Marketing opportunity here.
Okay NE, we are working 3 forums here. Members from other clubs are joining us. I have done 6 meets in NE before and all were great with the members. We all had a good time. Now, this has the chance to be our best meet yet with the 2nd Gen monsters jumping in.
I am looking forward to meeting new members here. Jump in so we can start the next stage of planning. Thanks.
