Just wondering if there are any members around the Lincoln area, we're on 112 and curious if anyone knows a good spot for a moose sighting. Of course everyone around here just says along the kanc...lol
Thanks in advance!

not likely......this time of year they are in the deep woods romancing the ladies..... IF you want to see moose... late April early May is the optimum time...... the flies drive them out towards the road ways and they much on the moose muck.... with the high salt content. Seven Mile forrest in Errol is a VERY good place to see lots of moose..... Pittsburg is another....
Tere are patches of moose much headig from lincoln towards Conway past the Bear Notch Road on the right sholder..... you may be lucky to see one there...... ususally early morning or at dusk..... if drive after sundown - be extremely careful.....
thanks for the info! Of course on our way to Story Land we took the kanc and about half way through it we saw a bunch of cars on the side of the road. We looked into the woods and sure enough 2 adults and probably a baby but it was tough to tell. They are truly amazing animals!!

Cool! You are very lucky to see them that easy this time of year. The bulls get very ornery this time of year..... and don't usually travel with the cows and juveniles....
Could you tell if any of the adults had antlers...... during the spring and early summer the bulls have no antlers and start sprouting them in July - it's kinda funny to see them runing around with little antler buds in velvet...... they are truly magnificent animals.
Here is a pic of it...they were pretty far into the wood so I had to zoom in as far as I could.
Its hard to tell, but I don't think they had any antlers.
