Default Yanks! No Life!

What is this BS I hear on Espn that the Yanks want to have a game credited to them because the Devil Rays arrive late. There was a hurricane in Florida, airports shutdown, and families affected. Those jerks in Yankee management. Trying to steal a game, just in case the Sox catch them.
Hey George, earn it, the old fashion way. Please stop this attempt to cheat. Trying playing the game for god sakes.

Default Late night games will kill me!

Being in the Mt time zone, last nights game stated at 8 and ended around 11. Throw in a little of Sport Center to see the highlights and it was way past my bedtime! And there are 5 more games from the left coast.

Manny did get away with murder on that "catch", but it is nice to see the breaks go our way. Without that gift from the ump the game could have taken a very different turn.

DLowe tonight, and I always am a little worried, but he is pitching the best he has all season. Now the Yanks need to drop a few more.

The fantasy is the Sox come into NY in first place and put the stake in the Stinking Yanks heart with a sweep, and then do the same at home, and while we are wishing the Angles stay hot and get the wild card. YANKEES ARE ELIMINATED!

Is that too much to hope for?

Default ok

so who would you rather see the sox play in the first round? I personally would like them to play oakland again, because the sox own oak. The twins are dangerous to me. I'd like the yanks to get the twins and get beat.

All in all a good series this weekend, except for pedro saying that new york is his daddy.

I guess steinbrenner must be licking his chops knowing that pedro wont get resigned (because i really dont think he will be signed in the off season)

Unless there is a major let down in NY, they get Twins in first round. Hard to say out west. Oakland is struggling to the finish line, may even get caught by CA!
We all want NY to lose. Our best redemption, we get them again, but, this time we beat them damn Yanks in 6!

Nice, we move to the Final 4 again. I presume the dreaded Yanks are next. Let's hope we can get the job done...this time! Better pitching and defense should make a difference this year.

Wish I was home for this....Good Luck Bosox!

Default twins

Kind of wish they hadn't blown it today, that would have brought mussina to tow the rubber tomorrow, making it a more favorable match up on tuesday. I was kind of hoping the twins wouldn't lay down like they did and ate up some off time for the yanks. Oh well, the sox are still picked to make it this year. Go houston!

Default Hey TC, you ok?

Just want to check in and make sure all my fellow Sox fans are ok. Some pretty brutal stuff going on here. And by now it shouldn't be anything we can't handle.

Just chiming in to let you know you have a friendly rival here! Sorry guys, but my late pops was born and raised in the Bronx and was there when the Dogheads moved to LA. So between him and all my uncles I have been raised to love the Yankees and dispise the Dogheads! If I want to remain a part of my family I will continue to support the Yanks! Good luck though.

Default buy your tickets now!

For one day only (18 Oct 2004) I will be selling tickets for a bus ride to the Tobin Bridge! Bring your camera and watch as all the people who said "Sox in 5" jump off! Hopefully this will include most of the Herald sports staff, The Globe sports staff, and Peter Gammons!

I bet the odds makers in Las Vegas are CRINGING IN FEAR knowing that a lot of people bet on the Yanks, after the books called for the Sox to win it all.

Same here anmrivera. Call me a rebel but I grew up just a bit east of the Bronx, on Long Island. I am proud to say that I have always HATED the Yanks while my entire family continus to adore them, UGHH!! Tell you what, it has always made for good ( ) conversation over Thanksgiving dinner!

TC - good to see you making light of this, despite how devistating this ?series? has been. Lucky for us we have the Pats!

I hear you Ron! This is the most depressing Sports Team I know. It continues every year...just when you think we have it setup right, our #1 goes down and the rest is all downhill. Thank god I can only see highlights...not sure I could endure that much pain actually watching the games!
On the other side, there is this washed up pitcher called "Clemens" who keeps
on going....go figure!
