Default Lift..

I wanna lift my truck, but I dont have the tools to go about doing this. Can anyone recommend a place to go and have them do it? I havent purchased the lift either.. :/

I went to a Les Schwab or whatever and they quoted me around $600 for the lift and install (revtec) and about half a day worth of time to do it.. Sounded a little steep.

Input?

$600.00 does not sound that bad to me. You can try 4Wheel Parts or Central 4WD in Kent. There are a few more places in the Tacoma area if you want to travel that far.

Choose Readylift or Truxxx, buy it, bring a case of beer, and we'll bang it out at my house one Sat or Sun...that goes for about anyone in the area.
If you choose one that compresses in the coilover, we'll have to rent a spring compressor as that is one tool I do not have.

Yup, really!

From the research I've done...
I'd go with a Truxxx for a 3" (which I did)
or
Readylift for a 2.4"

Toyota Tundra 2007-2008 at Fat Bob's Garage seems to have the best prices.

Check my photo gallery for pics of my suspension components after having the Truxxx lift installed for over 10,000 miles. http://www.tundrasolutions.com/photo...y.php/cat/1615

I did the Truxxx lift, which included rear blocks and a diff drop, I installed it all myself.
I added SuperSprings because I haul and tow alot.
The SuperSprings also added some lift, so after a while, I removed the rear blocks.

If you just want to level it, get the 2.4" and a diff drop (diff drop is cheap and it will only help)
Keep in mind, if you haul or tow anything, your azz will look like it's draggin' a bit when loaded.

If you want a bit of lift and still keep some factory rake, go with the Truxxx, it includes everything you'll need and you can always change out the rear blocks later for springs or air bags if needed.

When we are done, you'll just need to get an alignment asap (I drove a week, about 400 miles before I got mine done, but it pulled quite a bit, and wore the tires some).

Are you planning on changing out wheels and/or tires right away?

$600 is way too much, IMO. Take MX's offer and buy that beer with glee

I want the lift with the rake. I do not want saggy truck butt when towing/hauling anything. So with that, I shall be ordering the lift with the diff drop. I'll get at you when the lift arrives and see if we can set up a time to get together.

Favorite beer?

And I'll be getting tires/wheels soon, but there really isnt a set date, so I'll just get the alignment soon after the lift.

Yeah, you can name names, Tundra HQ is a good site for reviews and opinions.

That said, that lift scares me, it seem like it's just a copycat design...but again, that's just an opinion.

Yes, extremely happy.
I still buy it before any other spacer lift currently on the market, even if it costs a few bucks more.

Lift purchased.

Got it at fatbob's as it was about $9 cheaper (shipped) than the next place.

Looks like I'll be stocking up on some beer soon, filling the cooler and getting in touch with you as far as setting up a time.

Thanks again for the info, and thanks in advance for helping me with the install. Greatly appreciated.

Maybe I could help you do your headlights or something...
