FYI

Not sure if this was posted already, but I haven't seen it anywhere...so I'll post here as a point of interest and FYI to anyone interested. There is going to be a Truck and Jeep Fest at the Puyallup Fairgrounds (for those familiar with Pierce County in Washington State) on 4 and 5 April...I hear there are going to be some good prices there and lots of vendors. Some of you might be interested in going...

I'm going to be hitting this up just to have a look around. I believe, at least in part, the fest is sponsored by 4wheelparts. Anyway, might be a good chance for some of us to link up and put faces to names...or maybe not. But it would probably be a great opportunity for those wanting to see products first hand...

anyway, it is what it is...just for your information. If I hear more about it...I'll update this post.

I will be down there. Not sure which day yet. This is the 3rd year that it will be at the fairgrounds.

I figure I'll go on Sunday...probably about noon. I'll be picking up my truck and taking it back at 3pm (so they tell me)... First stop will probably be the Fab Fours display to snap some shots

I figure (tactic) a last minute browser might get a bit of a better deal on something ? why not try huh? hehe. I'm looking for a rock bottom price on a WARN 9500xp. Can't really afford it right now...but if the deal is good enough...

Got a text from the Fab Fours rep Matt...asked him to let me know what the Warn winches were going for at the fest. 4wheelparts sells them for $1319.99...think the best prices I saw online otherwise were around $1100.00 and change. I'm being told they are selling for $849.00 at the fest...think I'll try to haggle for a lower price tomorrow...at that price it puts in the ballpark of what I was willing to spend. Hope to see some of you tomorrow.

Well...the fest is over for another year...and thank god. I spent way too much money on stuff I probably shouldn't have bought right now. I had a hard time resisting the better than usual prices...although, the prices were still high. Nothing for free I guess. A bit of correction on that warn winch...it wasn't going for the 849...guess that price was for some other model winch. The 9.5xp was on special at the fest for 999. Anyway...was worried the truck wouldn't start with having the battery disconnected for 1.5 days...since that incident at 4wheelparts (wouldn't start for nearly a day after installing my bumpers). Well, started right up like nothing...much to my relief. Lesson learned? yeah...if you don't want to spend money...DON'T go! heh way too much temptation there. What did I get? well...

Warn 9.5xp winch w/fairlead/remote etc...

ARB emergency pack consisting of a couple of nylon straps for towing and tree saver...4 D shackles for my bumper...come along.

anyway...hope you all got to see the fest...it was ok for what it was. Didn't take any pictures other than of my truck. out

It was o.k. There were some pretty good deals. At least on the stuff I wanted. Did not buy anything though. The Revtek Tundra is pretty nice looking, twotone paint is not my thing. Next year I will have to go with some money.
