Well, I never had any luck getting people from Idaho (or near surrounding areas) to respond to any threads to get together in my area, so I thought I would try you Oregonians and those from Washington. I will be hitting the Oregon coast (North Oregon--Cannon-Beach to be exact) during the first week of August (vacation time ). Thought I would throw that out there in advance just incase those of you in that vacinity didn't have much going on and maybe wanted to get a meet going? i do not have many mods to share but getting together is a great way to se other rigs and getideas and such. Anyway..Just thought I would throw that ball oout and see if there are any cathers

I has planning on being in Seaside the last week in Sept. & the 1st week in Oct. for the National Kite competitions. Cannon Beach trip might be a nice time to check out the accomadations for the following trip.

It wouldn't have to be at Cannon-Beach, although that is a very nice area and I think there is a real nice park right by it. If that didn't work out though, we were also going to try and make a day trip to Astoria as we didn't get to go there last year. Those of you who live in that vacinity might have a nicer place. You would know the area a heck of a lot better than I. Well, thats a start. That is at least two more replies than I have had from my own area
Ecola State Park sits right at the Cannon beach, Haystack rock area. It’s an awesome park. Parts of “Return of the Jedi” were filmed there. During the first week of August I have the 3rd off from work. That’s a Tuesday. I would love to come out and meet with you but I’m guessing you would rather do it on a weekend. I always have Sundays free.

We actually won't be showing up until the 5th so maybe on Sunday Aug.8th? We leave on the 10th. Ecola Park would probably be a great place as we didn't go there last year and I do want to make sure we do this year. I think Paulsen and SamnJaz possibly so if we can nail down a date then maybe others as well. I really do not have any significant mods to speak of but after being on the forum and talking with others, I just think it would be neat to meet some of you guys in person. After all, I know we all have at least one thing in common

Jaz is most likely working till 9:00pm on the Sat. the 7th, so....lol
4hr. drive, puts us there around 1am, sleep till 8am, breakfast, should be able to be at the park by 11am anyway?

So maybe we should schedule then for Aug. 8th. Why don't we just shoot for straight up 12:00. I don't know what kind of accomidations the park has (ie; bbq grill or not), but if they do (someone who knows please chime in), then I would be willing to buy some hamburger and buns and some chips and maybe we could do a lunch? Just another idea. So what does everybody think. Sunday the 8th at noon at Ecola State Park?
Let’s do it! I haven’t been out that way in many years, thus I couldn’t tell you what the park has available. I could, however, pack the grill in the back of the truck and that way we would have our own. I really think, beings you are the visitor to the Great Pacific North West, I should supply you and yours with lunch. It would be my honor.
I'm a maybe. Haven't been there in years either. I was just looking at some family pictures the other day, taken there in the 50's. Time flies, huh?
I sure hope you can make it Bob. After all these years of conversing it would be great to put a face with the words. Besides, I don’t want to be the only old timer there!
