This is a discussion thread titled "A.D.D. Bypass Figured Out", within the Off-Roading forum, part of the General Forums category.
well i was messing around with the plug that the a.d.d. used to be connected to, did a few tests with the voltmeter, plugged in a few wires and it started working. I have not finished it yet because it got dark and i didnt have time to do it the way i wanted to do it. I the only problem is that when you disengage from 4 HIGH, the 4 hi light blinks constantly unless you unplug the wires that i rigged up, so i will have to hook them up to a separate in-cab switch, but i will explain how to do it tomorrow. Just thought i would let everyone know.
All a man really needs for happiness in this world is a good woman, a faithful dog, and a big-a$$ed set of tires on his truck.

it stands for Automatic Differential Disconnect, it is a problem that those who have SAS'd have. There is an actuator on the front diff that engages the 4 wheel drive, when it isnt connected the transfer case wont shift into 4low, this bypass that i figured out how to do fixes it without the need to buy a "black box" or whatever for it and so you dont have to have the actuator taken off the diff and bolted somewhere with it connected....

well i got everything wired up the way i want it and it works. I had to install a switch in the cab but it still works correctly. If anyone would like instructions on how to do this, let me know and i will post them.
