Is there a such thing as a manual winch for a full size truck??? I know they have them for ATV's. Curious on whether theres anything out there that can work on a full size truck?

This is probably the best manual winch you will find, and it's about half the price of an electric winch... Lemme say this though, it's really convenient to have the wire prewound on an electric drum, no need to get it out of the bed (and you get 100 feet of that wire and its the better part of heavy), and those manual winches aren't as fast as electric ones, so you can be the one winching your butt off while I sit in my heated/cooled cabin...
lol I would say this, if you are talking forestry road or hunting roads, that winch will be worth the money (and certainly better than none at all, I know). But if you expect to go somewhere and get stuck, spend the money, its an expensive hobby!

Damn that would be about 700ish after Taxes or shipping. Better off going with an Electric. Ill go ahead and wait a few years for the winch. trucks too new to be getting it stuck

You can get locking bolts I believe, KC has some for their lights. I imagine someone on the internet has thought of a solution. You might could lock the winch line to your truck. And the big winches aren't exactly portable 90-100 lbs, it'd be a job to unbolt the thing and take it away without anyone noticing.

I actually have one of these. I got it a couple years ago and have never needed to use it, however I feel confident it's up for the job if I had to. I'd suggest getting an extra handle at the time of ordering. The handles are the safety feature, meaning they will bend/break if you're using the winch to pull more than its rating.

Nice. I think im gonna wait a little. I might wait for an electric winch. seem much easier. Are they fairly easy to steal though?
Tack weld the nuts in place. No, seriously. Check out the thread on Colorado4x4.org, there's a long one about securing your gear, also one at Pirate4x4.com.
If you need to get the winch off, you can grind down the tacks, but no monkey with a wrench is gonna pull your winch.
are there any grill gaurds, other than by Arb, that an electric winch can mount to?
The WarnTrans4mer grill guard. I have a 9.5ti mounted under the cover.
