Default Electronic 2LO

I'm thinking it should be possible to fool the 4WD ECU in to staying in low range while cutting power to the ADD unit in the front diff.

The tcase AFAIK needs to be in 4WD to engage the doubler planetary, but there's no reason the front ADD needs to be engaged for any of it.

It will probably work with whatever workaround guys with stock tcases are using, who have dispensed with their stock front diff & ADD unit and need to fool the 4WD ECU.

Thoughts?

I have no reason for doing this other than I think it'd be cool, but I'm sure there are "real" uses for it.

i fooled the computer into thinking the A.D.D. unit is still installed when it isnt. this allows me to run double low in both t-cases. usually when i need just a single 4 low, i engage the 205 into 4wd and the stock t-case in 4 low. the reason i do this is because a.) the 205 is a b!tch to get in and out of 4 low and b.) the stock t-case has a lower gearing than the 205. Im sure what you want done or are thinking about can be done

I thought you ditched the stock case.

How did you fool the ECU? I think that's exactly what I need.

Two position switch, one position normal, one position spoof.

How do you shift your stock case? Do you still have to hit both buttons sequentially?

no i am still running the stock t-case also, didnt feel like replacing the whole trans just to remove the stock t-case. but anyway, i was fooling around with the connector that plugs into the front ADD, randomly connecting wires, checking if some wires were live, blowing fuses, and i finally got the t-case to work. it is really hard to explain how it works, but this is how you engage it. you flip a toggle switch (that i installed) to the on position, push the 4hi button, wait for it to engage, and in neutral, press the 4low button to engage that. and when you are done, disengage 4hi/4low and then flip the toggle switch off. it is kinda booty fab but it works. i have some pics somewhere of the connector with the wires that i hooked up to it. i will see if i can find them.
