Off-RoadingDiscussions specifically related to modifying and driving your Toyota truck/SUV off the pavement, including trip reports.
This is a discussion thread titled "Couple of trail shots", within the Off-Roading forum, part of the General Forums category.
Here are a couple of pics of my truck on a trail in B'ham, AL. The rear flexed pretty well to be AAL. The front performance was a little sup-par(spacer lift), I have little up-travel. I think coilovers are in order.
Thanks man, I had a hard time getting through that particular rut. I had to try several lines. If I had a locker, or even a stronger limited slip, would have made it the first time.
My brother just lifted his 05 f-150 4dr with 33" nittos. We are gonna have to go back and see whose truck can make it through. His truck is bulkier, but is shorter. I have more ground clearance though, especially if I take off my running boards
Nice!! Those are some loaded sipes! Gotta love that red clay. Your Toy will beat the Ford's butt...I used to mud with the good ol' boys in GA in my Taco.....they all had early 80's jacked shorty fords and chebys...I hung with them all....toyota = power!!!

5/8s polypropylene rope tied around the tire tread, threaded through the rim holes works great every time. Instant tractor tires.

The rope trick won't work in my case. The front brake calipers are too close to the rear face of the wheels. In the rear, the drums block the holes.
Well that sucks.
How about these?
