Default Boatsiding the Body Progress

Here's where we are at so far with doing the boatsiding and sliders. I am also going back to 37x12.50x17 BFG M/T KM2 tires and Staun internal beadlocks.

Yep. I was running 37" prior to this latest set of Toyo 35's. I think with 37's and the additional clearance I will have with the sliders gone life will be happier on the trails. Plus with the 35's and 4.88's it's geared a little low for the interstate. I really didn't care before gas prices started going crazy, but with the dual t-cases there's really no sense in running too low of gears on the street.

Yeah that makes sense. I've kept away from the interstate driving since gas prices have gone so high. Did you have to relocate any wiring or hose when you did all that cutting?

Not so far, and since I'm taking very little off the bottom of the doors I don't foresee running into any issues with wiring.....but you know how that usually goes !

Yeah unfortunately I do... I think the only wires I've ran into in that area are the ones underneath the door kick-plate on the inside.

So whatcha gonna do with the holes from the sliders? Or were they welded on?

Planning to weld the boatside to the cab, then bolt to the frame, or the other way around?

Yeah, I'm taking a lot of notes . Seems like, if those sliders were bolted on, the cab could be welded to the tube, then run the boatside down to the bottom of the frame and recess bolts through the original holes for the sliders...then you can still pull the cab when you get around to it ...

The 37s I was running were almost too much for the mountains here, hard to hold 75 over the Eisenhower Tunnel, but with the 35s I can hit 80+ and the needle's still climbing, and that's usually about when I run outta hill to climb . What sorta range are you seeing with the 37s?

Wow, that truck looks tiny with-out bumpers, and narrowed down bed. But I love it! Clean and looks mean!
