This is a discussion thread titled "lift/bumper", within the Off-Roading forum, part of the General Forums category.
Hey guys I"m new to the forum, but I have a 2003 toyota tundra w/ the 3.4L V6. It's a real fun truck, but I was hoping to have a little more fun w/ it. I wanted to do a lift, looking a 4.5" tuff country, and throw on a prerunner bumper to start, but was wondering what you guys thought of the lift, and where the heck can I get a bumper, or do you just have to make one?
get the 5" kit from tuff country since it has the new spindles....the 4.5" kit isnt built as well since it has the ball joint spacers instead and is not all that strong where the 5" kit is built alot better

- Blackbear 87 octane tune (good for 25hp and its amazing, no more torque management)
- LT headers 14.41 @98mph
A REAL truck.
ya its a 4x4, I had looked into the 5" but didn't feel like spending extra cash for another 1/2 inch, but if it is built better then that would be the way I would def go.
As of this moment local fab is the source for pre-runner bumpers for the Tundra. However, I am having custom bumpers made from kenmtn.com so in a few weeks they should have some bumpers available for the Tundra.
Depending on a few things like winch mount or not and add or take away some stuff on the rear...$600 (with shipping)or less each. Might be cheaper but I added a lot of stuff. I'll have to look at my other email to give you a closer figure.

The difference between the stock vs. 5" lift spindles are like Popeye before & after spinach! Weak vs. very strong.
