Curious if anyone has removed their factory carpet and put LineX, Herculiner, Rhino, etc.. down on the floorboard? I would really like to ditch this factory carpet and throw some Wet Okole seat covers on .

I would do this...great idea. Im curious how a Line-X dealer would approach this cost wise. You should contact a shop and see if they want to do a freebie on your truck for free advertising

I actually thought about it since I had them spray the bed on my last truck and getting ready to spray the new Tundra's bed. The beds usually cost around $350, so I imagine the cost would be close to the same if I had the entire interior stripped (maybe a little more due to more cover up).
I'm thinking about grabbing a gallon of Herculiner and just doing it myself at this point though.

I know Devinsixtyseven has his floors hurculined, but I cant remember if he put the carpet back in over it. I hurculined my bed, started peeling and coming off within a year.

-I have a set of used crome nerf bars for an Access cab tundra if interrested I plan to sell them cheap, PM ME for pics. they are in great shape
-Also have a set of brand new never used bumper lights for the tundra's chrome bumper
I would rather have a vinyl inlay, sort of like a stock carpet, but vinyl instead of carpet. That way you can still have insulation to keep that cab cool, because the exhaust and motor/trans/t-case create a lot of heat that comes through the floor.
IIRC, a guy on here pm'd me about him finding such a thing and ordering it from Summit, I forgot his name but maybe he will chime in here.

That's the direction I've wanted to go from the beginning, you would think that the early model (2000) stripped down standard cab Tundra with the manual transmission would have came stock with a rubber floor mat???? I would be OK with running a rubber mat up front and leaving the carpet in the back.

I used a gallon plus one of the smaller containers.
You do notice the heat more, from the tunnel. I usually have the windows down and the fan running anyway so I don't notice as much, but since the roof is also lined it can get oppressive on a desert highway if you're not leaving a window open or kicking the A/C on once in a while.
Obviously it's great in winter.
I have a set of Husky mats front and back, and you can always put the carpet mats back in the footwells also.
It took about three days, letting it dry between coats (did three or four, didn't bother to prep, it's not the bed). I don't regret it a bit.
1/4-20 x 1/2" button head machine screws are a great replacement for the plastic clips that hold the rear storage cover surrounds in place. I didn't coat the sheetmetal under the back seat, pulled it before I painted...if you don't use the back seat but may have a dog with you, that might be the one place to leave carpeted.

Summit racing did offer a vinyl floor kit for a while for 1st gen tundra owners but not any more. It was $205. I callled summit racing about 7 months ago about this carpet and asked him if this would fit the access cab models or just regular cab. He told me that it would fit access cab models and that minor trimming would be needed. Here is the link. Nifty Products 944801 - Nifty Products Pro-Line Molded Vinyl Flooring Kits - summitracing.com
