Default Transfer Case skid on

I had my friend make this for me out of 3/16" steel. He also gave me some grade 8 bolts with washers and lock nuts to go with it. I only have to pay for the metal which he said should be about 20-30 bucks. It should do the trick. Next is the transmission skid plate that will mate up with the front skid row plate and this one quite well. And considering that I already bent the stock OEM skid plate on the transfer case (what a joke!) I am glad to have this even though it isn't perfect. And he has a little jig made up from this so it is possible for him to make some more if anybody is interested in this. But it will cost more than just materials as I'm sure you'll understand.

Not too shabby! Definitely an improvement over the stock version!

Yes it is! And that was the whole idea. Those tabs aren't the best design...but the plate will take a hit...and that's exactly what I was going for!

Thanks!

And I am running stock wheels with some used pirelli's from my dad's last truck for the summer months. The other tires are still on my other wheels (the wheelers ones). It is much cheaper overall do it this way. Better mileage and less wear on the expensive tires. They will back on it about a weeks time though for ttora northeast takeover

Now I just really need that transmission plate!
