I was there for the first two days and camped out at a camp site down the street. There were probably 50+ Toyotas there, and I was the only fool driving a Tundra. Many guys had 1st gen Tundras to TOW their trail rig!
There are five different levels of difficultly for the trails: green, blue, blue/black, black, and red. I ran greens and blues all weekend and they were plenty challenging for the Tundra! Many blacks are simply to tight for a truck of my size.
And for anybody that cares, the adjustable bilstein 5100's do great on the trail and, I have them set to the 4th highest notch. I disconnected my front sway bar end links for some better flex and it made all the difference. I was totally pleased with the performance of the shocks front and rear. They are more than capable of being put through the paces off road.
Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what kind of trials I was running. I put lots of scraps and even a dent or two into my front skid plate, transfer skid plate, and sliders! They absolutely paid for themselves 10 times over. Pictures never do the trails justice but enjoy. I will post videos once I can figure out how to!
A rocky paradise!
Lots of the trails were really tight for such a long truck as mine.
It might be hard to tell by this picture but this was a pretty step climb and the rocks made it quite a challenge. Making use of this skids again!
Basically a rock garden for rigs of this level. This is where I scraped my rear diff. And everything else! Spotting was often needed for most the rigs on tougher sections. And I crawl box would have been nice....or at least better gears!
The pole line:
Beautiful views
And who says IFS doesn't flex?! These 5100's stood up to everything I threw at them. Fast and slow bumps, crawling, and some major stuffing and flexed out sections in many rutted areas. They are fine shocks for wheeling! Period. Well.......maybe not for jumping but I don't do that.
Here are the rest of the pictures. Click the little picture:

Very cool pics, and nice to know about the 5100s. I'd love to give some trails like that a try, but if I am going to do that, I had better get my CM towing an older Toyota pick-up. If they were tight for your 1st Gen....

Damage Report....
The brownish spot behind the dark grease spot is a dent. I bent the two front bolts, replaced them and put in small rubber pads because everything was squeaking.
Hit both control arms....oops
I really need a good front bumper. Oh and the tow hook took a hit.
....and a rear bumper
Looks like I need to tub the wheel well a bit...
The skid plate got put to good use and the cross member took a huge hit
Transfer case skid
And the sliders totally paid for themselves. They got a good workout.
So now I am officially hooked. This is bad for my checking account.....

Thanks for the comments guys. I couldn't be happier that I have scrapes and dents all over my truck. Everytime I hit my sliders or my skids I just got a huge grin on my face and knew I spent that money well
jjc, there are plenty of trails up here that would put your truck to good use. I would love to see your truck play on the comp course! The only problem is some of the harder trails are also very tight which can cause an issue with such a wide truck. That's the reason many of the guys up there run mid 80 toyota trucks or runners....small bodies with big tires for the win around here.
It's to bad that ttora takeover is in Kentucky this year, the other option was Rausch Creek! Maybe next year....

Now that both sides are pretty much trashed and the bed is dovetailed.....I fear no skinny trails !!!!! I definitely plan on getting up there sometime soon though, probably won't have my junk put back together for a few months at this rate though ........

Thank you. And it was a blast. I will actually be going up there again at least for one weekend next month....maybe two!
The sliders were actually custom made, bolt on demello style for an extended cab tacoma! The guy I bought them from (on TTORA) lived locally so I took some measurements to see if they would work for my truck. They were the perfect length so he did some custom work to make them fit and added some more guessting considering the weight of my truck.
The front plate is a skid row plate I bought used. I it fantastic. I landed my whole front end on that thing and it took the hit like a champ (bent a little...but nothing serious considering the hit)
The transfer case plate was custom made by a friend from mine. He works in a metal shop so I took mocked up a plate and he made it happen.
