Well I finally received the parts and pieces to get er done. Located a universal battery tray from AmFor Electronics. The dual battery unit came from Hellroaring Technologies, inc., Manufacturer of Solid State Dual Battery Isolator / Combiners. Found the shrink tubing and terminal ends at the The Shrinkshop. Then finally the Odyssey batterys from Odyssey PC1200.
Took most of the day cutting and modifing the battery tray, removing the old wiring and crimping and soldering all connections. Used 2/0 welding cable for all major cables.
So dual batteries will fit in a Tundra with not to many problems. I have more in depth pictures in my gallery.
So now I have the power to run the upcoming winch, air compressor and what ever.
Woot, another dualie... I'm running a Hellroaring isolator too and it's great. Duals are used for either a spare starter or an extra accessory power source. From the starter side, the isolator/combiner will keep the spare as part of the charging system but won't let the current be used until you flip the switch, so if something accidentally drains your main, it's there and ready. The combiners are a little different, based on how you want to use it.

That is what sold me on Hellroaring, one battery is there in reserve or flip the switch and it can be used together. or flip the switch and it goes offline.
I didn't check out the Painless Performance stuff, but went on some recommendations of some other folks. I ended up going with the Hellroaring since it's a solid state isolator. At the time, I spent about $300 on parts, not including the battery. I did ask the Hellroaring guys about why go with an isolator over a solenoid and they gave me a pretty good reason, but I can't find that email right now, but I'll see if I can dig it up.
Edit: I think the difference in a solenoid vs. isolator (diode based) is that it had something to do with preventing one battery from discharging the other in contention situations where they might try to balance with each other. The isolator blocks any EFI coming from the alternator too, but I'm not sure if a solenoid does that or not. It may, but I'm not sure.

I did take a look at both, painless appeared to be a tad more work and actually have to cut into the Alternator feed wire. I did not have one to verify and there info is not readly available online. Sounds like a good system with military spec components.
With Hellroaring that was not required basic wiring only and good to go. Price wise they match pretty close.
I've read some info on isolator issues with heat and voltage loss, but I couldn't tell which isolators they were using to test with. I've watched the currents with the Hellroaring and there haven't been any drops under any conditions and the heat issue is non-existent.

I would suggest contacting Mike @ hellroaring he is very user friendly.
I went with the 95300B
The prices are sorta expensive but ya pay for what ya get.
Hellroaring was 271.40
battery tray was 120.00
1200 mjt odyssy's were 430.94 for the pair.
2/0 welding able was close to 4 bucks a foot,used 15'
Then good shrink tubing and terminal ends & misc you end up close to a grand on a dual battery setup.
My daily driver - 2008 Vios 'S' sedan. Tinted windows in the rear, TRD anti-sway bar for the rear, 17" rims - Samurai SC02 Hyper Black. TRD lowering springs. Megan Racing header.
My favorite ride - a 2001 SR5 4x4. With - RCD 6" lift, JBA Titanium coated headers, JBA y-pipe, Unichip PnP, ARB rd-129 air locker (rear), Camburg UCA's, custom front Sway-A-Way coilovers, custom Sway-A-Way's with remote reservoirs and billet mounts for the hind-quarters, PolyPerformance limit straps with adjustable clevis's, Stubbs Welding rock sliders and custom front skid plate, 315/75/16 Toyo Open Country M/T's, on all 4 corners wrapped around 16x8 MB Motoring Blitz rims, cryo'd 4.88's set up by Inchworm Gear, Trenz billet grill upper, T-Rex billet grill lower, on board VI-AIR aircompressor and 3 gallon air tank, AutoMeter A-pillar pod with trans temp gauge (sending unit in the tranny pan), Long Tru-Cool LPD tranny cooler, 10" Flex-a-Lite tranny cooler fan w/thermostat, TRD billet oil filler cap, TRD air filter, TRD dual exhaust, and TRD add-a-leaf rear springs. Superlift TruSpeed Speedo Recalibrator. Warn Trans4mer system with a 9.5ti winch running Amsteel Blue winch line. Budbuilt traction bar. Staun tyre deflators. Spitz Lift portable crane. Marlin Crawler 1.5" wheel spacers. Our home away from home, 2004 Outback 26RS travel trailer with 15" MB Motoring Blitz rims to match the Tundra.
Yeah, the Hellroaring guys are extremely customer oriented and even called me back after the install to see how it went. I only had to buy one extra Optima red top for use as the spare since I already had an Odyssey PC1700T for the main. Those damn Odyssey's ain't cheap!

Yeah, I wasn't able to fit 2 batteries like that side by side, but then again, I had already replaced my main with a larger Oddysey so I found a big spot over the passenger wheel well. I've got an album in my profile of separated setup I did. I picked up a stainless/coated tray from Napa.

Yep go look at the dimensions on that battery tray. Then look at the Battery size. these 1200s are only 7 11/16 Long x 6 1/2 wide.
I went with the 1200mjT because they are military spec come with a metal jacket and terminal posts.
It took some work/thinking to figure out what tray was going to fit in space provided. Then once that was done what Battery was going to fit on that tray? I was going to go with the monster 1700 series and put one in the bed but that was going to be extra work and amp draw.
