First I'd like to say I'm horrible with names and I've already forgotten who each person is and I appologize for that. So I'll just refer to you as this or that guy. Once again, I'm sorry. I was the idiot in the Olive Drab pickup that obliterated his tail light.
I'd like to thank everyone who made it out today. The worst thing about guiding people new to the sport is most newbies (no offense) don't listen to experienced drivers spotting them. I know being in a 06 Tacoma myself that trusting the person spotting you is a very hard thing to do, so I myself am guilty, and until this day I kinda hestitate when I know I shouldn't. It's probably one of the hardest things to learn when it comes to offroading. It's especially difficult when you are so new and your trucks are so purdy. Seriously you guys, at least the ones I spotted, did a damn good job listening to what I was saying. I probably should of went over hand signals with you guys better in the beginning of the day to avoid some confusion. Regardless you all did a really good job. I wouldn't mind leading you around again given better park conditions of course.
Sorry about the park conditions today. The ice made for some nail biting moments, and it really screwed you guys. The whole west property was closed due to the ice and that's where all the really good stock friendly trails are. I should say that's where the technical trails are at. Most of what we did I would merely call a fireroad even with the trucks you were all driving.
To the first guy I spotted through the field goal trees, I appoligize for you tagging your door handle. I felt I did a damn good job squeezing that mammoth Tundra through those trees, and you did an outstanding job listening to me. You were just a tad too wide for it unfortunately. To the guy who fell and broke his camera on Camel Back...I really hope you're at least ok. You took one hell of a fall. I'm glad my dad didn't fall, he's had 4 major back operations so far, and I'm sure if he would of fell like you, I would of been driving him to the hospital.
Anyways, I'll post what pictures I got. Unfortunately I didn't get any of you guys, but then again I was out front. The only reason I got pictures of my own truck is because Andy was nice enough to grab some with my Iphone.
They're all on Camel Back.
I can't believe I didn't take out my passenger side window here:
At this point I was stuck, and I think this is where David (Hugemoose) came over to laugh at me (I somehow managed to get myself away from the tree enough to finally get over that section):
Here's a good shot of my tail light carnage, and me finally getting myself unstuck from the last picture:
David himself:
Then at the end of the day I swore I heard two people speaking it what sounded like Russian. I was about to ask who spoke it when I saw this:
I'm assuming it was these guys driving the Unimog because I only heard them when I was right near them. My CB sucks so it had to of been them. Unimogs ROCK!
To the guys interested in comming again. I'll try to remind myself to post back up here when we have East Coast 4 Runner Jamboree and Mini Takeover. Both are held in the summer months. Both are three day events, and there will be a ton of Toyota enthusiasts there. They really are great events.
Tinik, that is Jordan's truck. It is quite an impressive truck and it was a lot of fun to watch!
I unfortunately didn't get any pictures because I forgot my camera but hopefully some of the other guys will post up here soon with some good pictures.
To Tim, Andy, and BJ, thank you so much for driving so far just for one day of off-roading in the bitter cold. It was great to have such a great turn out from all of the Tundra guys so thank you everybody for coming.
Hopefully our next run will be in better weather where the trails aren't so sketchy. I had a great day despite the cold and I hope to see many of you again.
Like Bruce was saying, we will have some 2-3 day trips where we camp out and that makes for a really great weekend of off-roading.....especially when it isn't 3 degrees outside!!
And and Andy and BJ, I sure hope you made it home alright yesterday with that tire problem If it was a bead issue you may have solved it by putting the proper pressure back in....at least I hope you did!

I've got a few pics, nothing that great but will get them posted. I've also got video of the mud hole, although I missed Hugemoose and Cyberbilly going through, and the majority of the Black DC Tundra being stuck in the mud hole.

Black DC w/ RCD Performing Snow Plow Imitations
Cyberbilly in another set of Field Goal Trees
I wonder if he was sucking in his stomach to try to help? I know I was holding my breath when I went through.
Pic taken of the clearance between the afore mentioned field goal trees. I used my tube bars to keep me straight and true getting through. Although they are now destroyed. Oh well.
Showing off at the End

You didn't tag your tubesteps through the trees I spotted you through did you? I could of swore I got you through without issue. Actually the only one that did get a few scratches was the Black DC with the drop bracket lift, and he was just too wide. I still feel bad about it, but it wasn't that bad. With a little Back to Black and some polish the scratch should come right out and the scuff mark on the door handle should go away.
I'm dying to see that video of us going through the mud hole. I want to see how bad my truck looked going through it. It started feeling a little tippy at the end.
Dave's soon-to-be wife Laurie got a lot of really good pictures:
coooool pics guys. We got tons of video, need to host it up. I'll ZIP them up and host them so you guys can download the video if you want.
The tires were fine after we got some air in them. The 6psi on the highway had me a little nervous. But after we got up to 35psi, they didn't leak anymore. But my leak was nothing in comparison to that guy we passed on the trail with a 37" Bogger off his bead. Lucky he had a fullsize spare!
Thanks again for the spotting Bruce and Andy. The snow/ice really made it more challenging. You crawl up a little rock, then slide down the side of it into a tree... stuff like that.

Nice. I'm just a little stuck here. I had to be strapped off and wedge some wood under the tires. Everything was ice and got high centered
Thank you Laurie (Dave's bride to be) for taking the pictures of my truck. I didn't mind being stuck while playing.....it just goes to show that I need 35's
I can't wait to see all of the pictures.....it was a really great trip even with the bad weather and the west property being closed. Hopefully many of you guys can come back up when the weather is nicer.

Thanks to all who organized and led the group yesterday. And a BIG Thanks to all who spotted me yesterday. There was no way I would have been able to navigate my "mammoth" Tundra through those trees with only a few minor scuffs on the door handle and fender flare. No worries Rodge, I'm just excited I made it through! And also for pulling me out of the mud hole, lol. We had so much fun!
Man, i gotta catch up with you guys next time you do a trip like that, hopefully next time i wont be deployed...looks like you guys had a blast out there...
