Hey guys, anyone have any tube bumper rear bumpers on there yota? I was looking at trying to fab one together myself to get rid of the stock one i have that was destroyed by a tree...
Any ideas on tube type/places to get the tube/designs?
Not looking at cutting away the bed yet so just rear only no side protection yet...More then likely i will also be bolting a couple of u-hooks to it so that it will have pull points as well...let me know what you guys think...
Edit: This is a simple picture edit i did, the black/white mix part would be where i actually weld up some diamondplate to enclose it some....the double bars on each end i would more then likely mount the u-hooks to each of those

Personally I think tube design bumpers are UGLY unless you are doing a bed cage design and running shocks through the bed. Then it looks like it belongs there with the rest of the setup.
Here are some good design plated bumpers ...on Tacomas, but you can get the idea of the low profile design. You would be able to have a real approach angle this way too for the tires to creep up on stumps, rocks on/off the trails.

Lots of digging over on TTORA. Spent lots of time diggin through the threads. Those were by far the best ones I came accross (and saved for reference to get one made up just like it) over pages over pages of thread searching (keywords) and reading through thousands of posts.

Yea, i was looking for simple bumpers due to the fact im guessing whatever i put on it will be destroyed by my other half one way or another...the stock one is all bent to hell from her backing it into a tree in a subway parking lot...i figured if i could find something simple or build something simple myself would be alot cheaper in the long run :P
