Default tips for truck pulls

So, been talking to a few guys out here and im playing around with them about doing a truck pull. I am pretty sure i am going to do it but i just wanted to ask a few questions.

First, How do you think our trucks would fair against a titans, chevy's, and ford f-250's (Keeping in mind that mine is slightly modified). We will be doing it offroad as to decrease the chances of breaking stuff.

Second, i have a set of JBA Shorty headers that i havent installed yet because im almost afraid to due to losing precious low end torque. What can you guys say about this situation?

Let me know what you think and i will let you guys know how the truck fairs..also, maybe let me know a few tips/tricks to pulling because i havent done it before, i know the just let them break traction first one or using slight e-brake to hold back some as to not break your own traction...

I honestly would never waste my time or gas doing a pull off road. Most if not every time both trucks just sit there and spin or dig to China.

Anyways..... I just stand on the brakes and try to hold them at first when the rope tightens up all the way. Then I apply gas little by little right until the tires are about to spin. Slow and steady is all you need. And yes, take advantage if they start to spin their tires.

Its all about mass and power. As soon as you loose traction, you loose the game. So when ever you are doing a pull, make sure your opponent looses traction before you do.
