Default Anyone use E Track in your bed?

I'm a little frustrated at my lack of tie down anchors in my bed so I thought about screwing/riveting some sections of E-Track and/or those Vertical E Tack sections to my bed. Then I could attach swivel ring attachments and tie down spares, bikes, people, like they were part of the bed.

Anyone doing anything similar? Would love to see pics.

I did, then I thought the E-Track stuff was so versatile. I'd just like to see if others have done anything similar.

1st, I'm not familiar w/ E Track...but thanks for the link, it looks like that may be the best solution for some of the problems I've been needing to solve lately with my tube bed. Looks like it'd also fit great, between the corrugations in the bed.

It'll only be as strong as the fasteners holding it down...IIWY, nuts 'n' bolts, not screws, and a good grip of them...but with all the bolt holes they provide it oughtta be sturdy!

I think it's a great idea...take some pictures when you get it done.

I used a bunch of recessed D-rings. The ones holding the spare tire down, they're mounted under the bed w/ 3/8" bolts, so the straps pull the plates against the bed rather than stretching the bolts. The ones in front aren't nearly as sturdy, but I didn't pull the bed to install them, either...probably should've, to do it right. They're mounted on top, and stupid me straps more load to them than the spare tire on the four massive D-rings at the back of the bed...altho the load at the front was up against the front of the bed and strapped to the corners as well as the D-rings.

Yeah...I like the E track idea, suspect I'll be using it for my own project. The alternative was a buttload of D-ring tiedowns everywhere.
