Default So I need to cut. 37's with 6'' lift. 06 dbl

So I have a 2006 Tundra Double cab 2wd that already has a 6'' RCD lift and currently running 35's. I already re-geared to 4.88's in the rear and everything is great. I am almost already needing new tires being as my 35's are going bald after almost 2 years of constant pavement driving. The current 35's I have now only rub when I turn at full lock and its rubbing on the pinch weld. I am wanting to stuff some 37's on next and am wondering if other people have done this and how much trimming is neccasary. I know one option is to add a 3'' body lift on there but then it will not fit in my garage. The small bump up to 37's will only add 1'' total lift which would still fit. I plan on taking it to someone that has the correct tools and welding equipment to do the job right. I do not take the truck offroad (yeah I know this is the offroad forum) so major flex is not a concern. Just wondering what you guys think. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again, Derek.

I believe Sean (devinsixtyseven) is running 37's now, but we actually cut his firewall and tubbed it out some.

Back when I was running 35's and IFS I grinded the pinchweld all the way down and they "adjusted" the firewall with a sledge hammer and I didn't have any rubbing issues, not sure, but maybe you could do that and only have to add a 1" body lift to make them clear?

Yeah im going to investigate this firewall issue. I really didnt want to have to add any more lift to it but its looking like maybe its the only way.

I dont think Sean wheels with the 37's tho, just for driving on the street. He also has glass fenders which helps a lot.

37s are only gonna be for snow...35s are already pushing the front diff. I got those 37s you saw for cheap, to see how much I'd have to cut to fit them proper...it's a fair bit of work...

If you only want to street 37s, just cut a little and it should work with your RCD kit.

I'd like to shove 37's under my truck just because of the gearing, but I know I would end up doing something stupid and end up taking out my fenders with them.
