Default Off Roading Places in MD

Hellooo ladies and gents!

Can someone in/around Maryland let me in on some good places to go off roading? Light or beginner trails as I really have no desire to do mud, rock climbing or anything like that. Just some light stuff to take my truck out into it's natural habitat every now and then!

I'm in western maryland by the way if that helps.

Thanks!

Tacomagrl

Default here's some

hey hey.

about a week ago when i first got my truck i did some offroading on a construction site in germantown. on 355 south of the big cider barrel. There were some nice hard mud piles and ditches to drive over. Some of those hills are pretty steep so I scrapped a bit on the way down.

then, i drove north to near Mt Airy looking for dir trails and finally found one off Rd 75. it was a powerline trail with a nice creek crossing where i proceeded to bend my rear fender and the tailpipe. what a blast! i believe it was near GreenValley and Weller, but if you take 75, just look for really tall power lines

where do you live in Western MD? ...

i'm in Gaithersburg, east sieeed!

My sister lives just off the Hancock exit on 70. I sometimes ride dirt bikes in a large state park near the exit there. Many folks 4-wheel there, rocky trails, streams, logging type trails and so forth. Find a topo map of the area and look for the park.
