just an update i got the gears ordered they are 4.56 and the axles are gettin worked on now so hopefully i can get my truck to the guy soon because driving around in 4wd (actually front wheel drive because i have no rear driveshaft) SUCKS!!!
no the cutting hasnt started yet he got the gears in today from ups and will be installing them into the axles next week. he said hopefully he can get my truck in by next friday (the 16th) so hopefully itll be worked on then. Also, gettin f250 springs (6"), not chevy springs
so just an update it is march 4th and i just dropped off my truck at the guy's house. he said he will start to tear it apart tomorow. gears are in the axles and he has the springs and the steering box out of a 4 runner. i will keep yall up to date.
Well congrats on going through with it I have to admit...I at first expected you to be some kid hyped up on SAS after visiting ttora More pics would be great though
no the weight of the truck is not yet on the springs. i talked to him last night when i went over there and took the pics and he said that it will be welded up today (hangers and stuff like that) those are 6" f250 springs and he said that it will settle about 2 inches when the weight of the truck is put on the springs. those are the only two pics i have but i will have more soon.
Update - Ordered my rims last night they are 16x10 american eagle 186's. I also talked to the guy doing my truck and he said that the front is about 95% done all he needs is the shocks. He sent the rear leafs to be re-arched and has to install the gears in the rear axle. Also, he has to get the driveshafts worked on but he said if it stays on schedule that it will be done by the middle of next week!!! (3/19 - 3/23) I still have to order my tires though!!!!!
Are you planning on running hydro-assist to help you turn those 38.5" monster tires? I'm in the process of gathering all my parts to finally go HA. Off camber sections while trying to make a 90 turn is a major PAIN IN THE ARSE.
