Very funny and entertaining thread thanks all. I may have another one for the list of issues. It's too tall, according to my 5'4" wife. She informed me that I need to get step rails if she is to ride with me very much. I just can't seem to locate a set at the moment....oh well!!!
Looks like the only smart thing to do is get rid of the Tundra. Sure it has given me no problems. There are just too many problems with others. I cannot sleep at night thinking about the following:
The tailgate might not open
The cam might go
The bed might bounce more then a Ford
The leaf spring bolts are too small
Toyota has not released a commercial showing the Tundra hanging from a bed bolt.
The clock might lose time
The oil change has that damn protective shield that I have to remove and a different than the normal filter setup
The rear end might make noise
The Texas rims are out of balance
The gas gauge is not exact
The ABS works like it should
The hubs only have 5 lugs!!
The dash lights might go nuts when I add aftermarket stuff to the truck
The seatbelt buzzer.. nuff said
The stereo might eat my cd's and never work again
The keyfob might not work after I wash my truck
And I learned all of this on the internet, on tundrasolutions.com's Tundra section. In the first 3-4 pages!!
When will it end?
I miss the old TS
Man, I hate it when you people tell me my truck is going to do this Mine will be working great for a long, long time
Go back to your day job, leave us alone that have great trucks that your employer can't touch. What turds that post this sh!t
This is great. I haven't been here in over a month because of all the camshaft hoopla and bed rattle/bounce. What color knobs should I put on my radio? Should I open the door with the key or the remote? Should I shift manually or just let it work in automatic mode? Finally a thread with some humor. Hell I bought my truck in Feb 07', it was built in San Antonio,TEXAS, 5.7L, 20" factory rims, and a factory six disc CD. All the bad stuff in one package. Not had a minute's trouble with anything. Too many trolls and attention getters. Nice to see the true Tundra owners have a good laugh. Keep it going.

In all seriousness if the check engine light is flashing it (usually) means your engine is misfiring. It will stay solid after the misfiring stops.

I only drove 4 miles and it was fine when I left. Then I realised it wasn't just a random pattern. Holy crap it was morse code for SOS. WTF?!?!?!?!? My truck was flashing me the sos. has anyone seen this??? I hope its not serious. Maybe all the problems from the first post are going to attack at the same time according to the time keeper clock.
wow! the issues continue to mount. this tundra is the only truck that is too short for some (complain, complain, complain) and now I am hearing its too tall for someone else.
man toyota must have skipped using real engineers to build this truck and turned to a local community college or votec school. it is just a crying shame

I'm 5' 0" so no short excuses!
I appreciate all of the humor on here, I was feeling guilty about how much I hated my truck. In fact, I'm driving it a LOT so it will just go ahead and break down quicker.
Considering the high price of mortgage / rent here in God awful Southern CA, I am going to rent out my Crewmax to a group of illegal alien guest workers for $50.00 more a month than my truck payment. I figure it can fit about 8 of them in there pretty good. That way I don't have to been seen bouncing down the road in this ugly truck and I am actually making a profit. I am glad I read this very informative thread!
