Default Here's my carbon offset

I saw this little guy over the weekend. I could've picked it up and put it in the back of my pickup. Beep beep!

Nice for the city, but too scary on the highway. I don't like small cars. I saw a Mini Cooper decapitated from a car accident; the only way I could tell it was a Mini was that part of rear bumper was still intact.

Yes but once THEY force us to ALL drive cars that size, then the wrecks will all be MINI-wrecks, well except when we get plowed up by the bushel when a truck driver jacked up on meth to make his run on time jackknifes into 30 or 40 of us. AH, but the ozone will be better!

When I was visiting Italy, I had one of those Smart cars pass me in the mountains (we were going down hill), the speedo in my rental said I was going 140km/h. I had no idea that little Smart could go that fast.

I like Mini Coopers and Smart Cars. They're maneuverable so that you can avoid big trucks like 07 Tundras.

We bought 1000 led Christmas lights for the tree this year. That's our offset.

I saw one of those at Lowes today as a mater of fact. A 250lb man crawled out of it! Funny as hell, looks like if you hit the brakes too hard you'll flip it end over end!

Mercedes (yes, it's actually made by Mercedes Benz) has sold something like 770,000 of those things since 1998. At 40mpg city in a zone with $8/gal gas, it makes sense. In the EU you really see VERY few Suburban-size SUVs or Tundra-sized pickups. Like I could'a counted them on one hand in 3 weeks.....

One of the big problems they had in Germany when these things came out was people perpendicular parking them in parallel parking zones. Which is actually REALLY funny to see.

List price on those things is, like $11,500 or something. There's also a Smart4 (4-door) but I'm not sure if it's bound for the states.

I could have swore Mini was owned by BMW not mercedes. Plus the Mini Dealership around here is the BMW dealership not the Mercedes one??

Or are you saying the smart is a mercedes. I saw many of them in Ireland and passed one on the 405 thursday.

Smart is mercedes.... smart USA company information

"smart remains a vital member of the Mercedes Car Group, a Daimler AG Company.

smart USA, a division of Penske Automotive Group, is the exclusive distributor for smart in North America and Puerto Rico. smart USA is headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The smart fortwo is already somewhat of a "star" in the United States. It has the privileged distinctions of being on display as a work of art at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City. It is the only vehicle on display at MOMA which is still in production and on sale today. "
