This is a discussion thread titled "WW II Memorial, Washington D.C.", within the Off-Topic forum, part of the General Forums category.
Just got back from a trip to D.C. If you haven't been there lately you can see a couple pics I took of the WW II Memorial in my Photobucket link. They did a good job on the monument. The pic of the Hope Diamond isn't too good but there were a gazillion visitors & that's about the best I could get. Not really interested in it anyway but the wife wanted to see it. The hawk & snake is a pic of another photo in a gallery of outdoor wildlife photos. Those I liked.
I went to the WWII Memorial the 1st year it was open. I even registered my Father's name with them. You are right, they did an excellent job on it. I went with a few friends and we ALL enjoyed it.

The Wall is unbelievable. You HAVE to make time to see it !!!!!!
I have seen it. It's too emotional for me. I just deleted the rest of what I started to write. Thanks for the replies. I want to register my father, also.
OK. Edit: I just registered my dad.
