Default Colon Cleansing?

So does colon cleansing actually work? Had anybody ever tried it with results? Yeah it's disgusting but I have to ask. I usually hit the crapper every 2-4 days (very unhealthy) just once with barely anything coming out... So i'm wondering all the food I'm eating where the hell is it cause it sure ain't coming out lol. I took a nutrition class and the professor said to just eat your daily fiber, but that ain't workin out. Most doctors are against it, but there are many people out on the web claiming certain cleansers works. So if any of yall have tried it please chime in. Serious answers only please.

If you are only 20 years old, and are having to worry about such things, you need to see a doctor who specializes in gastro-intestinal disorders. You may have something going on like a blockage.

As for "colon cleansers", they are just Snake Oil. Don't waste your money.

Yeah I used to go #2 really good when I was 300 pounds, Ever since I lost weight started getting less bowel movements. But now I'm eating a ton of food and stuff, it won't go back to normal. Lost like 95 pounds in a year and gained half of that back in half a year (got lazy). Doctor will be the last thing, I hate visiting them aswell as dentists, they always seem to find more then what you go there for lol.

oh yeah i found these vids on youtube.. don't watch if you get disgusted easily.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apwsy8GypFI (was thinkin maybe I got a dirty clogged colon)

Crunchies never fail to get things moving for me. They aid the peristaltic action of the digestive system. Drink plenty water along with the fiber, and do about 200 to 300 crunchies, while pulling your stomach in, 3 times a week.

Walking is also a good natural laxative. Keep your weight under control, exersize.

Get a colonsoscopy if you never had one. They're no fun, but answer questions.

Yeah I started exercising again like 2 weeks ago, Mainly focus on cardio like elliptical, treadmill, and jogging outside (mon-fri). But even when I was exercising hard and eating healthy when losing weight last year had the same problem.

The idea that there is buildup of toxic substances in the colon is refuted thousands of times per day when people go have colonoscopies. When a doctor looks up in a properly prepped colon with a fiberoptic scope - guess what? - it's clean.

EAT FIBER EVERY MEAL. Not just sprinkling oatmeal on stuff. 1 tablespoon of Metamucil every meal will change your life - believe me.

This thread is begging for graphic language.

If you're wondering where it all goes, it's getting compacted. Think of your digestive tract as a trash compactor. Rabbit pellets are a sign of compaction, and they are the tip of an iceberg, so to speak.

Don't take chemical laxatives unless it's a real emergency. Use water, fiber and exercise, and try to get something out at least once a day. Lay off of alcohol, and tobacco. Drink OJ with pulp, and unfiltered apple juice. We evolved as creatures of the jungle, moving around, foraging for roots, climbing trees for nuts and fruit. We do best eating unprocessed foods, and getting exercise.

You'll get hemorrhoids from forcing a big, nasty butt plug out once a week. A hemorrhoidectomy is pain you've not felt before.

Seriously, you need to find a lifestyle that keeps you regular. Colon cleansing is a scam.

Fiber One cereal & alternate oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. Too much Fiber One will plow yer field. And kill a perfectly good pair of drawers.

All that other "cleansing" stuff is a lot of rubbish.
