This is a discussion thread titled "Honeymoon Suggestions", within the Off-Topic forum, part of the General Forums category.
I am getting married in 2 months and am wandering if any of you have any suggestions for a honeymoon spot? I want to spend no more than 3000 total. I was thinking Sandals resorts in the Bahamas. Any suggestions? Any info is greatfully appreciated.

Thanks
CONGRATULATIONS!... or condolences, depending...
I'm getting married in two months also. May 24th, to be exact. Anyway, a friend of mine owns a travel agency and, according to him, the best bang for your buck is Cancun, Mexico at an all-inclusive resort. He's been there many times and as long as you don't go during spring break, you'll love it! He has us staying at the Caribbean Village from 6/17-6/24, says that's the best place he's stayed while down there. Our all-inclusive price for two is $2168.00 for everything. All you'd have to pay for is shopping and going out to other places than AT the resort. I also know it's cheaper if you can fly down and back mid-week instead of Friday-Sunday.
I have been looking into Cancun myself. I too am getting married May 24th. I like the all-inclusive resorts. They seem to be a great bargain. Thanks for all the help, and I look forward to viewing more great suggestions.
Since your already on the west coast...you should be able to get pretty cheap airfare to Hawaii. I found some from the East coast recently for $600 round trip. Hawaii is one hell of a place, super nice. I'd always heard HOW EXPENSIVE it was. It's not that bad....really. I liked it so much I'm going back this year, after going last year.
Cancun is where I had mine. But after getting there we went to Cozumel and ended up paying for another hotel room there as well. Cancun is pretty cool, but I like Cozumel better. I had been down there a couple of times before but the wife hadn't. She has been wanting to back ever since we left. Cozumel is probably a little bit cheaper. Cancun is really strictly setup for tourists. If you go to Cozumel don't forget to go to "Carlos & Charlies" (a KILLER bar). I had a night there that I STILL cant remember. At least take a day trip to Cozumel to check it out. Only a 30 minute boat ride away.
If you are a certified scuba diver its hard to beat either place. Even if not go snorkeling, it cant be beat either.
Wherever you two go have fun, it will be something you will never forget.

Thanks for all the help. I just booked Aventura Spa Palace on the Mayan Riviera. It is just south of Cancun and is also all-inclusive. Should be awesome.

Cool. Thanks for the tip. We'll be sure to check Cozumel out!

Thanks Again
Sounds like you are going to Playa Del Carmen or close to there anyway. Another great place, nice beaches. Don't forget to take that day trip over to Cozumel.
BTW if you have the time and like the outdoor stuff a trip to Chichen Itza (Mayan ruins) is also cool to do. http://www.cancunsouth.com/cit_chichen.html
For more info go to MSN.com and do a search on "mexico mayan ruins", tons of sites come up.
Thinks for the tips. I think we'll be spending a day in Cozumel. I heard great things about it. The package I got includes 7 free tours which include these ruins that look amazing. The tours run about 80 bucks per person, but the travel agent said they are free with the package we got. Thanks again, and I'll let you know how it goes.
If you go to Cancun be sure to rent a Jeep and drive down to Tulum or West to Chichen Itza. The Mayan ruins are fascinating to me and that was one of the highlights of our trip to Cancun when my wife and I went there on our honeymoon. The water is beautiful, warm and there is incredible scuba diving and snorkeling to be had.
