Default Insurance premium drop at age 25, true or not???

Is it true that a persons' insurance premium drops at the age of 25? I turn 25 in July and I don't want to get my hopes up if it doesn't.

With most company's it does drop. I am 25 right now and when I was 24 my insurance was around $600 every 6 months for just me alone. I then turned 25 and me and my girlfriend are on the same policy with 2 vehicles and it is less than $600 every 6 months.

    I was $600 alone @ 24 years old
She was $360 alone @ 25 years old

    WE are now at $590 together @ 25 & 26 years old.

Pretty darn good savings if you ask me.

Sounds good. I pay about $600 every 6 months as well. I'm hoping it drops when I turn 25.

Yep. Mine was cut nearly in HALF with StateFarm when I turned 25.

The sales rep. told me the biggest rate reductions were turning 25 or getting married.

That's odd, mine remain the same from 16 till now at 28. Maybe I should find another insurer.

From what research I did it varies from State to State. I know in Texas it drops when you turn 25.

Thumbs down Don't count on the rates dropping if you are in California

I am twice your age, and 21st Century gets about $1200/year for full coverage on the Tundra. This is with good driver and multi-vehicle discounts.

I was still living in Indiana when I turned 25. My auto insurance with State Farm dropped 50%.

Thanks for all the info. If it doesn't drop, I may have to switch to another insurer that is just as good but, less of a premium.
