Default Fireworks

Ok, so after these pictures were taken and everything was packed back up, we found another box and a bag of the smaller stuff (and a few large).

If you don't see me logged on during July 5th, please send bail money .

OK, here it is and the lake goes together and hires a professional show too.
So this is for Friday (along with whatever else the 20 other Uncles and Cousins bring up) and the Pro show will be on Saturday.
Is it time to have fun yet?
This is by far my favorite holiday...

I don't think the .45 counts as fireworks. But it's handy to have around in case some drunken starts screwin with ya when you're setting them off.

If you guys see them....get "sonic boom" mortars. Don't use the launch tube, use them as regular firecrackers. When they go off, they make a little puff, and then explode like an old school cherry bomb====BIG!

Try St. Pete Beach some year for the 4th. Best I have ever seen. They have great fireworks for miles put on by the hotels and towns like Clearwater Beach that you can see from the beach, plus people from up and down the beach as well as people in boats doing their own. It starts at dark and goes on into the next morning. If you ever get a chance check it out.

Well, I'm still a free man . At one point (right after I set off an 8 volly morter set, 2 cops came over to me with their flashlights shining on me - BUSTED. The first thing they said was "some of that stuff is pretty big". That's when the horrible vision of Bubba sneaking up behind me ripped its way into my head. They said that if a neighbor complains about the fireworks and there is a police car here, they would have to "get involved". They told me to do what I had to do, but watch out for police cars. Then they got into their police car and drove off. DAMN.....That was close. So after they went down the block I fired 'em up again. We had a ball . See, there are a LOT of cops out there that are pretty cool - oh wait, that's a different thread......

HAHA! Great story, guntech. Freedom: it's what the holiday is all about.

This year his our city's 150th anniversary, so it's going to be special tonight. My photographer buddy of Star Spangled Banner "fame" is going to be 60' up in a bucket taking pictures.

I'll never forget the time my uncle got a hold of some professional fireworks. I was a kid of maybe 7. He took the back seat out of his car and hid behind it after lighting the fuses. He didn't have a clue, and almost got himself blown up. Sparks rained down, and some of us got some burns. We were all too close. I was scared spitless, but it was memorable; really big stuff, loud as thunder. It was on the farm, so no cops or neighbors to complain.

I went with the "Lock and Load" mortar set...Had 24 mortars and 4 launch tubes...Did a couple with all 4 at the same time and it was awesome and crazy loud! Friends of mine had the "Black Mamba" mortars which were also AWESOME so we had between 4 and 8 mortars going off at any given time. Its amazing how many fireworks you can get when 10 people are throwing in money haha.
